Great news, Deno said players were finally paid-off for the World Open 8 Ball tourney. I'm sure Rodney is very happy as well as everyone else. I for one never believed it would happen. Thanks, Kevin and Deno, for keeping your word. Pool players deserve a good payday. I'll be watching Busta and Cory tonight.

So, Deno said the prizes owed are paid. That brings to mind one immediate question:
Is it true? Do the players have their money?
If so, that's fantastic, although I still don't know how the IPT could ever become a tour again with everyone in the pool community knowing the first attempt was a stone-cold fraud (a fraud they ended up having to pay for, but a fraud nonetheless).
If not, well, then this is more of the same.
On a side note, if the IPT ever tries to hold a major, big-prize-money event again, if I were Rodney Morris I would demand that the prize money be put in escrow before the event. Just like if somebody who had fired air-barrels at you before asks you to play a set for $100, I'm guessing most of us would have the same answer: "not unless we post the money up before we play." I'd definitely tell Deno and Kevin "post it on the light."

Just talked to two players that were on the IPT and as of yesterday, they did not have their final check. Their mail has not arrived yet today.

At this rate they will have it paid off within two years of the original tournament. This is called the pool float.

All anyone has to go on as far as the IPT is concerned is what they're told by Deno. The problem with this is that you'll be hard pressed to find anyone that actually believes anything he or anyone else from the IPT has to say due to the numerous lies told to the players and the public since the Reno debacle.
