I have what appears to be a Palmer model 17 with one exception. The butt says that it is a Huebler. Everything else looks exactly like the model 17. Does anyone know why this is?

My guess is, someone broke it and fixed it with a Heubler part. Or they asked Heubler to make an exact copy. Of they just engraved Heubler on the cue for some reason.

I could guess some more but it may be simpler to post pictures of the thing.

Plus you got it from somewhere, you can't ask the person you got it from?

I am unable to ask the person that gave it to me as he has passed and that is how I came upon it. The picture is bad, I will attempt to get a better one tonight.

I think it is a Palmer that had the pearlised butt cap that ended up braking and was replaced with a Huebler butt cap. If it was a Huebler I think it would have a Custom Shop cap instead of the regular logo.

If you look up the Palmer model 17 it looks exactly like the one I have a just slightly different from the one on that ebay listing.

The difference that I can see is a different inlay pattern on the butt sleeve.
The 17 has a few more pearl dots, and maybe a slightly different shaped diamond.
Cool cue and very close....maybe a Huebler copy of a Palmer?

The rings are a lot different. Yours has inlays inaide the rings in the butt, the palmer has thicker rings with no inlays inbetween.

It looks like one of the Hueblers that were part of a Palmer Tribute line. I had one that I bought new that was very close to the model #13. I do think it had the custom shop butt but I may be wrong. Either way it is a very cool cue. The Hueblers play much better than the Palmers anyway IMO.

Its a Huebler Cue for sure

Pauls built a lot of cues that people have never seen before, he built a few Palmer inspired cues this is the fourth one ive seen, nice cue
