Palmetto Billiard Academy - New Room in South Carolina

The SPM article says they will be sorting things out for the first couple of years. It sounds like they will be concentrating on pool. There's a Waffle House within walking distance. (y)🥞

I'm guessing it's where the Family Dollar used to be:

Darn, I’ve got a trip to CHS the end of May and was planning to go there. “sorting things out for the first couple of years” and they close in 6 months, Severe case of bad management. They needed two years worth of capital. I feel bad for them.

Yeah. I think the average billiard person has no more business sense than the average person, and that's usually not enough. I think a lot of pool halls close mostly because of the room owner. We do have examples of rooms that have been open for a very long time but there is usually an exceptional owner involved.

Let me know if/when you come to town. If you want to try to get a game or just hit some balls, I might be able to help

Crazy. Didn’t even know about the place. Beautiful transformed facility just goes down that quick. I’m not a business guy. Been in facility maintenance for over 40 years. What would it cost to build that room total? And why would it fail so quickly? Who takes a financial hit like that ?
I been broke my whole life mostly but help me understand some of you room owners or business minds please? Thx
Careful. He shoots back.

I got him on a no pocket table. He couldn't make a ball!
