Two points on this:

Any USBA member in good standing is eligible to play in the qualifier for the PanAmerican Championship at his own expense. The Qualifiers are just before the Championships in Mexico City this year in the middle of May. Entries must be in soon.

If you can schedule a European vacation this summer, you should arrange for part of it to be in southern France at the end of June. 10 of the top players in the world will be there playing matches to 50 points. This will be the last Crystal Kelly Tournament.

There appear to be rooms available at the venue...~350 euro per night.

If your budget is more restricted, you could go for the single bed in a dormitory-style setting for 32 euros a night or the Hotel le Royal which is close to the venue for about 90 euros a night and has a billiard room.

Try craigslist for Nice. You'll find loads of great deals on apartment rentals for much less than staying in any of the hotels. I'm thinking seriously about going to this event.
