Ronnie Alcano was super, going smoothly thru the winner's side of the board.

All the action was for second place. Tang lost in the third round to Jun Chen, and then had to beat George Michaels and Morro Paez to play Chen again. He was down 7-2! And won the next eight games in a row! Tang played flawlessy. He is back and ready for the IPT.

Chen is an excellent player with a fantastic break shot, ten or more balls down table every time. But Tang made some amazing run outs to steal the match. His game is back at 1998 level when he was second in the U.S. Open, but he is a more mature players now. Paces himself better and handles adversity very well.

Tang will be tough in Reno. Watch!

Tang had a lot of support out here. He's local you know. I like Chen. Good player and a class act. He'll do well on the IPT.

Tang has a strong following here in So. Cal. but just a couple of sweaters showed up at Jillians to root for him or any others. On the other hand there wasn't any room for any more sweaters at Jillians.

Yes, Tang has become more mature with better mentoring.

He is a good guy and funny too. His English is getting better and better.
He ended in third place in Pasadena. Just to show how he loves to play, his wife called me 7:30 Monday morning to secure his spot in the Texas Open this weekend. They tried to call late Sunday night and I missed the call. I thought it was funny.
