Your best pool, have you played it, doing it now or practising for it? What speed, best in local room, league, city, state/prov. etc?

My best pool is in the past. I don't have the time or the hunger to be the best anymore that drove me as a teenager and young man. There was a time when I played good enough to beat anyone that came to me on my home turf on a given night. I wouldn't beat anyone every time we played, but nobody could come to me and be sure of winning. Different folks rate that different ways but I'd say I was a solid shortstop.

I ramp up my game ALOT closing in on Vegas and tend to play my best there, usually I tend to get really zoned in some time around the second week and then I don't really miss anymore. ATM my Vegas self could spot my current self 4 in a race to 11 and would likely rob me. But my Vegas self when I am zoned in does not give up much to anyone in bar box 8-ball.
That said there are a few players in Calgary I have to admit hit a higher top gear then I have. I have played pretty much my best against Tyler and still lost, I get close and occasionally get across the finish line but whenever I put pressure on that guy he responds and shows me another gear he has hidden away and his top gear beats my top gear. Other guys like Abou, Lloyd, PJ, those guys all have some huge reserves and can shoot true touring pro level pool when they hit their peak, I cap out at strong shortstop when I am at my best.
