he certainly was relentless. when i played him it was super long sessions he just didnt quit. that was his downfall when he was locked up.
i got him for all his last money from his baccarat scores.

Prime Efren vs Prime Shane???

Even in his absolute prime, Efren was never considered the top 9-ball player.
Don't crush my dreams Freddy 😂

He put the killer instinct on Earl in a long race, Shane has the killer instinct....this was my thoughts on this matchup.

Long race, my two of my favorites, game changing players

Though he's a snooker star, I'd love to see Keith McCready v. Alex Higgins in their time playing snooker or pool. Keith can play both, as can Alex.

Assuming that today's crop are all at the peak performance of their careers:

Reyes vs Rags Fitzpatrick at one pocket
Pagulayan vs Allen at one pocket
Sigel vs Filler at 9ball
Strickland vs Filler at 9ball
Mizerak vs Mosconi at 14.1
Mizerak vs Hohmann at 14.1
Sigel vs Hohmann at 14.1
Varner vs Gorst at bank pool
Brumback vs Gorst at bank pool
Taylor vs Brumback at bank pool
Deuel vs Vernon Elliot at bar table 8ball
Van Boening vs Matlock at bar table 8ball
Woodward vs Matlock at bar table 8ball
Van Boening vs Hall at bar table 9ball

I left 10ball out but I don't feel anyone from the golden age of pool played it at a level anywhere near the likes of SVB, Kaci and a couple of others.

others bank so well now. maybe as good as tayor did. but he did two things no one did. played great position off of his banks when those banks most only cinched. and he made the very toughest ones no one could shoot. still in his prime he would spot anyone in banks.
brumback wouldnt have a chance at all. he misses too much and chokes under pressure.

Would anyone touch Earl on a 10 footer in his prime?

I think I could come up with different matches all day but here are some I would find interesting for various reasons:

Hoppe v Ceulemans 3C
Caudron v Jake Schafer Jr Balkline
Greenleaf v Mizerak 14.1 10ft & 9ft
Mosconi v Mizerak 14.1 10ft & 9ft
Frank Taberski v Any Slow Player (You would need a calendar not a clock)
Lassiter v SVB 9B
Don Willis v Filler 9B
Sigel v Fedor 9B
Efren v Ronnie One Pocket
Harold Worst v Efren All-Around
Masako Katsura v Anyone
Jean Balukas v Chezka

Richie Florence and Corn Bread playing for big money….they looked like they were practising.
Jimmy Moore and George Chenier playing snooker on a 6x12 and 14.1 on a 9 foot.
Jim Rempe playing snooker on a 6x12.
