Patek Philippe 5066-1A for sale/trade

Thank you for the reply. I would have put money on our first conversation being about Szams and Searings but there you go...watches it is!

I can't source a new Patek Nautilus over here and the waiting list is 2 years in the UK! If you can source such a watch, I may have a few cues that will interest you. I also have interest in Frank Muller (Aeternitas 4 anyone?), Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet (Royal Oak Offshore in particular).

PS: joking about the Aeternitas 4, I don't have $1M to spend on a wristwatch but I do like other (cheaper) Frank Muller watches.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Si

i havent ever seen a million dollar watch, they do exist, the most expensive watch i have ever had on is a Harry Winston Opus 4 it was sold but they had one left, they made 30? it was 375,000 and litterly weighed 16 oz. it looked amazing on me-i didnt buy it, it was a 2 sided watch like the Patek Sky-Moon Tourbillion-which is about 1.2 mil on the gray market, I also had on a Vascheron(SP?) that was 1 of 7 made that retailed for 900,000 that a friend bought used for $210,000 it is solid biaguett diamonds-it retailed for 900 but the market is 2 CHANGE FOR IT, MAN IT WAS THE MOST BLINGED OUT PIECE i HAVE EVER SEEN, sorry for caps, I dont have any of those kind of watches my biggest piece is a patek 5101 that I want to sell, i bought it to wear but it looks terrible on me-I waited 3,5 years for it.:(

i wear a Rolex sea-Dweller which is like a stainless sub-the nice watches i have are in the bank-i never wear them or see them for that matter.

Hi Jon

Its the mid size version, 5066. Its down as 36mm. All the box and papers as you can see from the pics (taken from the site I bought it from) and includes the Patek wallet and travel pouch. It was bought new in 2002.

Wow, you have a 5101! Arguably the finest Gentleman's dress watch available. Probably a little out of my price range but PM me anyway. I love the look of that watch.

This is the Aeternitas 4, probably the most complicated wristwatch ever made....a cool $1M.

Nice taste in watches.

Apparently Invictas don't interest you.

The most complicated wrist watch currently is the Tour de l’Ile, made by Vacheron Constantin the watch has complications on both sides. It is not as cool looking as the Frank Muller. Here is a link to data about the watch.

If you own that Patek in your avatar, I think me and Fatboy would be very interested in seeing your collection. That is a serious Complication.

Post pics!

this is the most interesting thread in a long time. i hope you guys start talking more watches.

Will the forum name soon change to "pooltime"!! I love the watches too, but don't have nearly the muscle you guys have when buying one. Nice watch pic Si. My two favorites are the Maurice LaCroix Calendre Retrograde and the Chronoswiss Opus. But cues for me take priority at the moment.

Dude, don't try. A couple of people put watches up as trade for cues, so have I. Its not 'non pool' related when I want cues for my item...ok?

Excellent point. I guess if you're looking to trade a high-end watch for a high-end cue it IS pool-related. My mistake si.

You're right. Others have put watches up. I saw Vass do it about a week ago with. I thought it was out of place then too. Sort of like when that other jack-ass started a thread listing like 45 different Nokia products that he has for sale.

But you clearly have a right to post this here being that you are looking to get cues for this watch. I do however, question your 'Don't try.' comment/attitude. I wasn't impolite to you in anyway. I just asked a question. Your arrogant and obnoxious response is both baffling and laughable.

I thought you were being all of the above also when I read what you wrote, that had me baffled too. I meant no offence with my response, I just went on the defensive. You know we have a good things to say to each other and I would like to keep it that way. I love everyone on this site:) .....mostly everyone:D

Watches For Cues

I actually did a trade several years ago that involved a Rolex President, a Corum, and a Patek. I took them in trade for a Gus and a Bushka.

I like your Patek, but the cues I have now are either above or below the $10K mark.

There are plenty of cue collectors out there who also like watches.

Si-

All is good. Glad we had a chance to discuss and 'bury the hatchette' so to speak.

Good luck with the watch. It is beautiful. My father has a Patek and a few high $$$ Rolex's in a lock box. Maybe someday (if I'm still in the will), we can do business!! ;)
