"It is with a heavy heart that I post this notification of your passing on your wall. I rejoice in the knowledge that you are now in Heaven with the Creator, are finally pain-free and will never again be lonely. You were a dear friend and mentor, and you will be missed dearly. "

Does anyone know if this is true?

sad news

It's sad to see that Paul passed away and nary a word here. I seemed to have missed the news on fb, as well. Paul was a gentleman and a huge fan of the game of pool; he loved cues and cuemakers. RIP and godspeed, 'PVD1'.

Wow..

Today is his Birthday and I posted on his FB wall,,,

So sorry to hear,,,

It was always fun to see him at the ''SBE'' and correspond with him via the phone and email,,,,,

My Black Boar AS-10 that I purchased from him means so much more to me now..

I'll hit a few racks with it tonight in Paul's memory,,,

R.I.P. Buddy, and ''Hit 'em Straight''

Paul was a very close friend of mine and he died about a little over a month ago unfortunately. :( He has a daughter and no remaining relatives to my knowledge. I will miss him greatly what a true gentleman.

I'm sorry to hear the news. I met Paul about 3 years ago in Virginia while playing on a Saturday. He had an obvious passion for cues and was a real gentleman. RIP.

Sad news, I enjoyed talking with Paul at the SBE's and some of the deals we did.

I am really saddened to hear of Paul's passing. A good friend, a contributor to the cue industry, a great cue collector, and a person with many, many friends.

My brother Willis is not into cues in a big way (has about 20, including 3 Gus, JW, 5-6 Tonkin, etc) and has built his collection because he likes to take the long car ride from Ohio to SBE each year with me, where he has made a ton of friends he holds dear. Of all the people he occasionally asks me about, without fail one is Paul. They really enjoyed each other, and Willis was shocked when I shared the news about Paul.

Rest in peace Paul, you will not be forgotten.

I am very saddened to see the news is true. Paul was a true joy to be around and to speak with on the phone. He loved cues and the sport as many have said. He will certainly be missed in the pool world. R.I.P. Paul.

I met Paul at the very first SBE I attended.

The man was a pure joy to be around. Nice as can be, and was always excited to talk about the game and the toys.

We wrote, back and forth, for a couple years after that show...and he was somebody I was proud to consider a friend.

R.I.P., sir. You'll be missed.

Paul

Paul was a great guy. We used to chat about McDaniel cues a lot he was a collector of them as well. He will be missed.

I'm sad to hear this bad news about Paul. We talked about cues on the phone a couple of times and he ended up buying a Tim Scruggs cue from me. It was one of the smoothest cue deals I ever had. We talked like we were old friends and i'd never met him in person. RIP.......

I am the person that posted that message on Paul's wall on FB. I was a good friend of his and he passed away on October 20. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
