Picked up a mystery cue today.
It was in an It's George 1x2 case. The case was locked and they had no key.
Bought it for $20 as a mystery cue.

The lock was stuck, beyond repair and couldn't be unlocked with a key (I have another George at home). A little Dremel work opened it up  . I've never been noted for being "delicate" with my handywork.

Anyways, heres the cue......

The joint and one shaft collar are loose, so it's gonna need some work.

Any ideas on a maker, not signed anywhere??

I suppose a logo could have been sanded off the butt cap, hard to tell.
I'm guessing an older production cue, but the points look pretty good.
One point has a little blem in the veneers, maybe enough to make it an unsigned "second".

ElKabong...Looks like you got a steal of a deal. Nice looking cue for $20, even if you have to put some $$$ into it to make it playable. Heck, the case alone is worth more than what you paid! Nice score! :D

Looks like a National cue to me.

Not familiar with that brand.
Assuming that's what it is, and my initial investment is $0, would it be worth paying someone to rehab it?

Thanks,

I thought Runde era Schon with the stich rings. That would be a great deal
so I'll offer 50 dollar.

Throw in the chick from your avatar for about 2 hours (Ok...it would only take about 15 minutes :o ) and you got a deal :D .

Unless I'm mistaken, that pin is 5/16-18....and also I would not put too much, if any, money into the cue.;)

Looks like a 80's National to me also, should be a 5/16 X 18.

Most Nationals I have seen had a loose joint collar.

Nice cue for what you paid, nice case also if the latch is not damaged.

:)

I will take the 1.45 he leaves over, but would like access to a shower agreed upon.
