pawn shop prices

Tell them to keep it?

If you are hell bent on having it, I'd offer around $450 for it. Check this out.

Depends on the pawn shop. Ask what they want for it, then offer them 2/3 of that price. If they won't take it walk out, come back another day. I've never been turned down at a pawn shop offering 2/3 of what they ask for. Most these places pay a person roughly a third of what they will sell the item for.

the cheapest decal Fury cues are nicer than any Hooochiee Meucci. Do me a favor, before you buy it, run your fingers along all the inlays, I'll bet $20 you can feel the bumps right through the finish.

Meucci??!!??

I think you should offer them $100 to keep it. God help us if that gets out in the general population. If they threaten to force it on you, post on the board and maybe we can take up a collection.

Adios,

A pawn shop here had a meucci busted up butt cap fiinish on the shaft was gone and the shaft was green not blue, ferrule was cracked and needed a tip. Also needed to be refinished I asked the guy how much and he said he wouldnt let it go for anything under $300. I just laughed and handed it back to him!!

Tell em you will give them 200 and to call you when they are ready to sell it....I got 20 bucks says they call you within a week ready to sell it for 200.

Forget it Hondo. You need a cue, let me know. You got wholesale and payments with me.

Thanks, Donald. My wife says if I buy one more cue
she's leaving me. But .... things change.

Thanks for the responses, Guys. I have a Meucci OLD1
that I've had for years. Took Bob Meucci a long time
to make it for me. Back then it was like getting a custom
cue. I still have same tip & ferrule on it and it's straight
as an arrow. Very pretty stick.Mother of pearl. Nicknamed
"The Diamond". Great one pocket stick. Times have
definitely changed.

That might be the best (only?) reason I've ever heard to buy a Meucci. LOL.

The local pawn shop has a used Meucci SE12
for sale. Any ideas on what to offer for it?

Make the dealer an offer, but. I think most Pawn Brokers/Agents are sharp on the Value of Items. They normally try and loan as little as possible on items, and mostly would just as soon you come back for your Pawned Items.

Had a friend who was a retired LEO in the Mother Lode Area of California who was a Pawn Broker.

Seldom bought anything, never loaned much on what he too in in pawn, but still would up with a lot of stuff for Sale.

Gary had book on almost anything from guns, jewelry, collectables, and if he was not sure of an item value, and what he could sell it for it it became his. he Passed upon the Pawn Transaction.

Personally have never found and Underpriced Treasure in Pawn Shops, but I am sure they are there if you look, and look.
