Just had my first PAY PAL Glitch and not HAPPY!!!!!
Paypal is automatically pulling funds from your bank account and not allowing its users to select the funding source you want to use!
I went to Disney's Pixie Hollow website for my daughter this afternoon and she wanted her own account to play the games. I click to use Paypal because I did not want to retype my billing information. I click paypal and to my horror it says complete!!!
I am like hold up why didn't it allow me to select my funding source??? So, I log back in to Paypal and notice it pulled directly from my bank. Usually no problem, but my wife and I just switched banks and closed that account!
I immediately call paypal and get some egghead on the phone trying to tell me its my fault and nothing can be done. I insist they put me on hold and physically go onto the website and see. Well, to their surprise it did exactly what i said and pulled from the bank funding source with out giving user option to select funding source.
The egghead comes back on and says "you know you are right" disney's account is set up weird! I go OFF at this point! The egghead keeps saying its ok since the account is closed it will default to a back up account! I said "do i get to tell you which back up account to use" and Paypal's answer is no! I saw why not the egghead says its computerized and is set to pull from the next listed account.
I have to ask to have this escalated to a manager at this point and complain that this is "some scary $hit". What happens if it was for a large amount and caused several checks to bounce????? Paypal going to pay up???? This i told them could get VERY UGLY if things went badly!!! At this point ,I tell the EGGHEAD I am considering not using PAYPAL because they cant adequately answer why this glitch occurred and assure me it won't happen again. They systematically pulled funds from the members banking and omitting the users option to select funding sources.
I only posted this story here because I know how much shopping we do on the for sale section here and I was not sure which section was most visible and best to use to get the word out about this issue.
What a great Wednesday! I start out doing something good for my honor roll daughter and get this baloney instead.
