Has anyone used a Pechauer pool cue? I am looking to purchase a Schon STL but the Pechauer cues look pretty nice.

I Had A Pechauer Pr17. Great Cue, Looked Great Amd Played Great.nothing Wrong With A Pechauer In My Opinion. Would Still Have It If It Was Not Stolen Out Of My Apartment.cant Go Wrong With A Schon Either. Also, Pechauer's Customer Service Is Great To.

I never owned either cue, but shot with a few Schon's during league and also shot with 2 Pechauer's. My money would buy a Schon. The Schon's just felt natural to me. Looks matter, but make sure you get the chance to hit a few balls around before buying either one.

my 2 cents

I had both, and like Voorhess, mine were stolen also. I primarly played with the Pechauer, but I think they are both fine cues. I just happened to like my Pechauer a little bit better.

I've been playing with pechauers for years. I started with a Junior Pro, and then a couple years ago, I went with the Pro Series. I traded it for another pechauer that happened to be lighter. The shaft is still perfectly straight and I love the way it plays. A few years ago, I experimented with a Meucci and a Predator. I didn't like either one and went back to the Pechauer. IMO you cant beat the price for looks and playability.

Pechauer Cue

I have both a Pechauer and a Schoen cue. They both are excellent. When I miss a shot, it is not the cue that is the problem. I would solicit more advice about the shaft alternatives (Pechauer, Schoen, Predator etc)

Pechaurs are very popular where I live (State College, PA). From what I understand (please, correct me if I am wrong)... no matter what pechauer you buy, the shafts are all the same, since Jerry harvets all his own wood. I personally own several personally, and my wife has two. I have two PL01 model cues I shoot with regularly. My wife has a p23 and a sneaky pete.

Aside from being forward balanced. they are great cues. The standard shaft is very stiff (I shoot with a custom shaft, which is a little more flexible) The regular shaft has more bulk near the joint, hence the forward balance. But all in all, great cues.

I have been playing with a Pechauer cue for about 6-7 years now. I have had them make me a custom cue and I really like it. Schons are nice too, but I prefer the Pechauer.

If you get a Pro series shaft, they are all the same and you can just order one. If you have the JP series, you need to send in the Butt to get a matched shaft.

I'm shooting with a Pechauer right now, it's just about the best hitting stick I've ever played with. My roomate is also playing with a Pechauer, hers is a little bit nicer looking *Envy Eyes*.. but I like mine just fine.
You really can't go wrong with them, very consistant hit from cue to cue... A bit cheaper than the Schons... and I prefer them outside of the price too.
