Who would win a long race in 9 or 10 ball between Adam Pendley and Justin Bergman?

I have seen them both play and they both play strong and think they would be a good match.

If you want to put Pendley in the box, I don't think you could come up with all the money that would be bet against him.

I have no interest in backing either player. I've seen both of them play a little and there both strong players so, I just wanted to see how everyone else thought they would play.

I gotta say though after seeing bergman play chuck ralston on bigtrucks stream this past weekend I don't think he's the dog playing damn near anyone BB 9 ball.

Adam Pendley is so good that I never heard of him.

Don't say that your an Ace pool detective. Adam Pendley is a very good player but probably a level behind Bergman. One of those games that if he played everyday and Justin didn't play for a month it would be a good set. Both playing though, Adam would be in kind of tough.

In case no one mentioned it Adam is a younger guy from NC, maybe 21 or 22 years old. Real solid A player and can win any tournament he plays in, I've seen him play twice for the money though and one time he never missed, the second time he still didn't miss but forgot how to play shape. So suffice to say he doesn't miss balls but VERY often leaves himself "the long and tough one"

I think Adam is younger than that. I think he's around 18 or 19 at the oldest. He's a AA players in the GSBT and always cashes and has won a few if I'm not mistaken.

Bergman, one of the best!

Bergman has the ability to take down any player in a tournament. I saw him give the ghost 2 games in a race to 10 playing 9 ball and the ghost got only to 3 games with a $1,000. bet on the set.

The final score: Bergman 10, the ghost 3. The other player betting on the ghost just sat and watched Bergman take his $1,000. away.

How strong is that?

Assuming ball in hand after the break, I'd say pretty typical of top players.

If no ball in hand, then I'd say that is pretty strong.

BB or Big table? Either way it is strong.

I think I would have to take that bet?

I think I would just about bet anyone in the country if the give me 8 games in a race to 10 playing the ghost. I would have to take the ghost and bet, even with ball in hand after the break.

8 games is a far cry from 2 games. I can beat the ghost playing 9 ball and I'm no Bergman.

I've watched Gabe Owen stay ahead of the 12 ball ghost. How strong is that?

It is widely acknowleged that a pro pool player should be able to beat the 9 ball ghost. And if they are really in stroke, and their break is working, it is often times "no contest".

The Ghost

The ghost only won (1) game in a race to ten on a full size table that is strong, and better yet for $1,000. bucks, that is pressure.

Who would like to try to beat that?

Again, yes that is strong play, but I'm a nobody and I've beat the ghost by lopsided scores. If you have a good break and the balls are not clustering, a pro should get out almost every time.

All I'm saying is that whoever bet a good player that they can't beat the ghost giving them 2 games going to 10 is not going to have money for too long. That is a cinch bet for Bergman and a dumb bet for the opposing party.
