i want to thank you all as a group on az and want to tell you all that i will do my best over the next few weeks to help with any questions that you may have.

The new teaching technique that has made my personal lessons so easy to understand during the past 3 weeks is going to be tested by each and everyone of you to see if the same great results can be accomplished with the video and this ground breaking technique.

My goal also is to have each and every one of you playing the best pool of your life a few short weeks.

Nice goal.... Let's make it happen.

Thanks again, genomachino......:thumbup2::dance

hi there guys,

this is probably the easiest way to let everyone know exactly what is going on.

This group of 8 players will receive the perfect aim phone lesson first. After you understand how perfect aim work you will then be sent the video.

The new techniques will be used to explain perfect aim. This new info is going to help us make a supplimental addition to the perfect aim video.

I want to thank each and everyone that has and is participating in this process to help us MAKE it the best it can be.

Thanks again geno..............

I'm impressed

I had a great call with Geno last night. Going into the lesson I wasn't for sure what my dominant eye was, but I suspected it was my right eye. After the first test using the softballs, it was obvious I was mistaken! As it turns out I'm left-eye dominant. Once you identify your dominant eye it is pretty amazing how clearly you can see the line, and know when you cross it, when positioning your head. I'm only an hour into this, but I can't wait to get the DVD and really wrap my arms around what we discussed. More to come....

That's 2 done 6 to go..............

hi there jason,

this is the main reason for the phone lesson before the video. You now have a huge understanding how perfect aim works and the video will be very easy to understand.

Once i heal up iowa will be my first stop. I'll make sure everyone knows when i come.

What i'm trying to find out here is with the new info if we can hit 100% understanding with all 8 reviewers.

It was great working with you and it looks like we've opened your eyes. Wide open..

Good luck geno....................

Hey geno, just to let you know, that i'll be starting what you pm'ed me this weekend. Im having the two hardest weeks of the year at work, leaving at 5am and coming home at 11pm. I should find some time this weekend to do some testing, but the next 2 weekend are fully booked with the nationals.
Probably worst time of the year for me to start learning something.

I should take a week or two off in the middle of may, and i'll have loads of time to work with you. Hope you don't mind the wait. I wish a day had 48 hours :D

Hello Joey! I really don't think you have a clue what Gene has been preaching. It is fractional ball aiming. The cueball/objectball overlap is established by sighting along the left edge of the cueball with the left eye for cuts to the left, and sighting along the right edge of the cueball with the right eye for cuts to the right. He emphasizes this over and over in both of his videos. Do you recall that he shines the laser line on the objectball, for say a 1/3 ball hit (cut to the left) and, when he gets down on the shot, he sights with the left eye along the left edge of the cueball and aligns that cueball edge with the laser line on the object ball, for example.

Joey, if you hold a cueball between your eyes and look into a mirror you will discover that each of your eyes is aligned with a cueball edge, within 1/8 inch. Therefore when you are aiming a shot, using Gene's fractional aiming system, the cueball is centered between your eyes (within 1/8 inch). And, when you hit the cueball on its central vertical axis, the cue is also centered between your eyes (within 1/8 inch). Come on, Joey, this isn't rocket science. (Aiming systems generally contemplate center vertical axis cueball hits - the use of english requires compensations not generally part of the basic aiming system.)

That has always been a problem with Gene's system. It requires that everyone locate their eyes identically in relation to the cue. He's wriggled around for a year now trying to disguise that apparent shortcoming. I've observed several posts wherein Gene's words imply Perfect Aim is compatible with the concept of "vision center" held by the other instructors. But Gene has boxed himself in, and can't have it both ways. For nearly a year he has been dodging my questions. I'm sure he has formulated many answers over this time, but failed to post them because he knows inside he'd wind up with foot in mouth. So he stays quiet, and promptly spams every post he possibly can with convincing words about his sincere desire to help everyone.

And a number of you think I should call Gene, and let him help me. If you read past posts, you'll discover that Gene and I did discuss things on the phone. And, after he assessed that I am a fair shooter, and that I centered the cue beneath my eyes, he said I'd need to move the cue 1/8 inch or less. I immediately said that was exactly what I had been saying in the forums, and he fell silent for a moment. I know why he did, he knows why, and the rest of you should know why, by now. In defense of his "center the cue beneath your eyes system", he explained that it was primarily intended for lower level players. He said some players don't know one end of the cue from the other, and that's who it was primarily intended for.

I accepted that; at least he'd been honest with me, and he sounded like a sincere guy. The next thing I know, however, he's posting how glad he was to have been of help to me, blah, blah, blah, and using me as another tool to spam this forum. I promptly objected to his using me as an endorsement. I will find those old posts and provide links to them in the near future. That's why I'm not now calling Gene - I already did. And, I believe I understand "Perfect Aim" as well as Gene. He presents no new information. He just presents old information in a convoluted manner, which confuses and, apparently, tantalizes everyone. Even the part in the beginning of his DVD about holding our cue motionless while aiming - that was presented years ago in another pro's video. I don't recall who that was (perhaps Gene can tell us), but I will search thru my old VHS's and post that information. I am sorry that Gene isn't as honest with the rest of you as he was with me.

Dude sounds like you are hating,I had great results with Genes system, you are making it more complicated than it is and why are you riding someones back, get a life and find something else to worry about,Genes a great guy and we are not asking for an explanation or concerned about your findings,Quit shankin this isnt prison

I'm right eye dominant but left eye dominant while playing pool. My head is shifted in a way (comfy way) that prevents my right eye from becoming dominant while playing. Gene figured that out. He merely told me to close my left eye and I couldn't see a thing. He helped my game a lot.

Spidey's problem rare but yet common............

i'm right eye dominant but left eye dominant while playing pool. My head is shifted in a way (comfy way) that prevents my right eye from becoming dominant while playing. Gene figured that out. He merely told me to close my left eye and i couldn't see a thing. He helped my game a lot.

i have found in my studies to perfect the aim that about 10% of the players fall into this catagory that spidey is in. This was very frustrating because in order to teach this 10% of the players perfect aim and for it to work for them, identifying the dominant eye is a must.

They seemed to pass every conventional eye dominance test that says they are right eye dominent but when they get down to shoot they are deffinitely left eye dominent as spidey is. Or vise versa

unless you know for sure which eye is dominent there is no way to correct where the eyes need to be. Your just stuck with how you can do this naturally and this is why some players have such a hard time aiming. Up until now who ever did this naturally the best could aim the best. But it doesn't have to be like that.

Just like shooting a gun or bow or anything there is a precise way to aim and a pool shot is no exception.

Your preshot routine and stance is very important because it naturally will help you get the eyes in the more correct position but in order to find the spot that is just like the sights on a rifle you need to know the dominant eye and which way to adjust.

Without know this, the game of pool with all it's optical illusions just won't let us get the eyes in the correct position on certain shots naturally very well. This is why we have such a hard time on the same type of shots all the time.

When dave got the perfect aim video he seemed to benefit from some of the things he learned but 4 or 5 months later when we met in minneapolis and worked together one on one he really learned what perfect aim was all about for sure.

This is one of the biggest reasons i tell everyone that has ever bought a perfect aim video or has had a personal lesson if there is something that you don't understand you need to call me. I've worked very hard to put together a few new techniques that make this easier than ever to understand.

If you think you understand everything you still need to call me because with the new techniques i'm using i can help you understand how this works so well that you should almost be able to teach it after we get done.

But the most important part is that by totally understanding this you will absolutely improve your aiming ability. That's why we play and practice is to improve and that is our main goal is to play the best we can.

Thanks spidey on pointing this out and giving me the opportunity to maybe get the attention of a few players that might need some help totally understanding perfect aim.

Good luck geno...............715-563-8712 715-254-6964 ANYTIME. AND I MEAN ANYTIME................

Great you were surprised........

So today I spent a little over an hour talking to geno on the phone. First I called him blindly. I wasn't going to sift through this thread and confuse myself before talking to him. We got to know each other a little before we even started my phone lesson. I knew before we started which eye was my dominant eye. Listening to him just reinforced my thinking more. Now I used some 3 cushion bals for the lesson but geno still recommends using bigger balls. After I got everything needed, screwed my cue together and chalked my cue, I placed geno on speaker phone. Using the cushion of a gold crown 3 to prop my phone up, it kinda felt like he was right there with me. Using the balls in a straight in shot senario I could see with the big balls, just how my body would align itself for this type of shot. Now I grounded my cue and found true center on the cueball and made my alignment shift left to right closing one eye then the other to find where in real life I needed to be! On every shot there seems to be a perfect spot for alinging using perect aim for every shot.

Now I have very bad eyes, probably the worst of any shooter you will run across. I have an astigmatism in both eyes so aligning for me has always been an issue. I played with this for about an hour after I got off the phone and proceeded to run some mother drills that I am very familiar with just threw in a few kinks to them.

I am pleased as punch having called geno. I would like to thank him for taking the time to fully explain this to a complete stranger. I am going to be playing with this some more over the next week just playing center balls shots and stroke speed for shape. Once I am comfortable with this. I will be working with one of the local kids to pass the info on and to make sure I fully grasp it.

So stay tuned for an update! If you have not called geno yet call him besides he needs something to keep him busy with his jacked up shoulder.

Thanks for everything and you can bet on it we will be in touch. Get well soon geno.

Thanks,
Greg "the jackal" Jacklin

It's fun to surprise players with something I know they have never seen or experienced before. It's even more fun doing it with this free phone lesson with no obligation.

I'm going to the Twin States regional tournament this weekend to do some free lessons there. This will be a great event and Twins States runs a tight ship.

Good Luck Greg and hope to see you soon.

PS I can type with both hands again.:thumbup

OK, I've had some time to work with the DVD now and I'm really pleased with the results. As I posted previously, determining my dominant eye was a snap. At first, adjusting my dominant eye to the correct sight line seemed a bit akward (like most "new" things do). After a short time, this adjustment seems to be a more natural part of the pre-shot process. Now that I have my eyes in the correct position the shots just "look right". I don't know a better way to explain it, but some of the shots that used to give me problems (like thin cuts with the OB at the opposite end of the table) aren't nearly as problematic now. I haven't changed anything else, so this must be the result of improving my dominant eye position.

The reflective aiming has also been a huge help to me on certain shots. I have always had a problem with back cuts going down the length of the table. Between now having the correct eye positioning and trusting the reflective aiming, these shot have been consistently finding their way into the pocket. :-)

I'm still working with the measuring method for determining 1/4 ball, 1/3 ball and 1/2 ball hits. In fact, I just started working with this today, but I can see this will be very useful information as well. Oh, and how lucky am I, my shaft just happens to have a sugar line right at the 12 inch mark. (those of you with the DVD will know the benefit of this)

This new information has me re-energized to practice, even though the weather outside is turning nicer. I'll report back soon with more.

Hi there,

Glad to hear your results are good also. It's such a simple thing but yet it is huge. And like I tell everyone there is nothing and I mean absolutely nothing in this pool world even simular to Perfect Aim. Once you understand the whole package. It flat out works..........

Please do call me with the new situation when you aim the thin cuts to the right. I am always learning myself and want to cover as many bases as possible.

Thanks again for your help. And I want to say thanks to all the AZers that Have helped in this project.

This will be Perfect................

Hi there,

Right now we are working on The Perfect Aim Complete. The new video will have all the new techniques that are now being used to teach Perfect Aim.

In the beginning it seemed that some players had a hard time understanding how it worked. These new techniques with the help of the Perfect Aim review guys like yourself have really helped me perfect these methods over the past 4 months.

There was never a question if Perfect Aim worked but how could we get everyone to understand it from the video alone. I will always offer free help to anyone that has a question that bought a video, but the new one, Perfect Aim Complete is going to be the real deal and should get it done in the learning department. Because if you don't understand it , it won't help you at all.

Again I want to thank everyone for your help and patients of learning Perfect Aim. Your input was very important.

Plus, All the Perfect Aim review people will recieve the new video as soon as it is completed.

Thanks again Everyone. Geno..............

I just wanted to drop in an say thanks to Geno for him teaching me things I would have never figured out on my own, such as,getting my eyes in the correct position to see the shot correctly,he called me,and went over it with me until I got it,Now when I am down on the ball I know I am seeing what I am suppose to c,and I can truly say that I possess knowledge and tools that I didnt have before ,at any age it is always critical to have the right information

NICE GOAL.... LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Thanks again, Genomachino......:thumbup2::dance

We are in the middle of the NEW Perfect Aim COMPLETE. We're shooting everyday now and the timing couldn't be better with my shoulder rehabilitation and all.

Right now would be a great chance for 6 more players to learn this at no cost whatsoever. So far I have been learning so many ways to teach this technique so as to make it easier to understand.

All Perfect Aim Reviewers will receive the New video once it is done at no cost.

First 6 will be accepted. Thanks again Geno.............

Please add me to the list Gene. I always like seeing and hearing anything you are involved in and keep that new shoulder healthy and improving.

Thanks,

Gene:

Please put me on the list also. But as I told you in my PM, I don't want the DVD for free, I want to pay for it. You need to make a living the same as everyone else.

And for all of you here who know that I have bashed Gene and his product in the past, I would like for you to be aware that my recent studies of various aiming systems have brought me full circle and I am now thinking that what Gene says about getting the eyes in the right position might be the one real key to making any of those systems work consistently. That's why I want to check out the new DVD for myself.

Thanks, Gene, for the patience you have shown me.

Hi there,

First I want to say thanks for accepting the offer to be part of the review team. The goal here is to teach Perfect Aim so you understand it totally and can completely apply it to your game.

The new teaching techniques that will be in the new Perfect aim Complete video are not in the old video. To get the best feedback I will do the phone lesson first. This will give you the basic principle on how this works and why. Once you have had this phone lesson the video will make much more sense and will be easier to follow.

You need 2 balls about the size of softballs. They can actually be softballs if you have some handy. These will be for visual props only. Then you need to be at a pool table with a speaker phone/cell phone.

It will take about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Please send me a PM with name address and telephone number and the best time to call. I will give you a call to try and schedule a time that will work the best for you.

After the phone lesson the Perfect aim video will be sent to you to study and apply more of the Perfect aim teaching segments.

As soon as the new Perfect aim complete video is done you will recieve a copy to compare to the old one.

The main goal here is to have a product that will stand alone so that players can learn perfect aim easier from the video alone. With the help from the reviewer and alot of work , this is the goal.

So far this has been a great success. the Perfect Aim reviewers have learned some valuable information to help their game and I have gain some huge knowledge with methods and techniques to make this easier to understand in the new Perfect Aim Complete video.

Win, win situation.

Ley's have some fun. thanks again geno.......
