I prefer to remember Earl Strickland like this.

Jennie, it seems that some people revel in Earl's fall from grace as one of pool's greatest players.
It even seems that some people revel in the demise of his health and at every opportunity, some choose to shout taunts of Earl's declining health.
This type of behavior is unseemly for any man or woman, especially for members of our particular fraternity. Don't get me wrong I think everyone has a right to their opinions but to become like a pack of wolves looking for weakness and illness to portray on a regular basis of one of pool's greatest players is simply inappropriate behavior.
I have had problems with Earl's behavior and do not condone some of the things he has done, nor even some of the things I have done.
If Earl were healthy, I could understand some of the piling on that has been done here on this forum. It has been substantiated that he has some serious health issues and yet we see our fellow forum members pile on at every opportunity.
I hope Earl gets better and I hope our forum takes a close look at itself and makes likewise needed improvements.
This forum is better than what we currently exhibit.
We can do better and we should do better, if we truly love the sport as much as we say we do.
