I'll have to do some searching but there is another company doing similar things a friend told me about.
I want to see computer chips in cue balls so we can tell what kind of spin is being applied and how much.

With pool, as long as the center of gravity is unaffected it should be even easier to put RFID tech, accelerometers into resin.
Might be possible with just cameras though.
Anyway, things like that would only be practical for professional level events as whatever solution is used could need lots of specialised equipment setup.
