Peri 9 Ball Open - Oct 2-5

One other thing I noticed, the players had trouble breaking off that template rack being used there. A lot of weak looking breaks. I also see why Raga has never really done that well in major tournaments during his match with the Vietnamese champ. At 8-7 Raga he had two chances at an open rack to win and he failed to get out both times. Some how, some way he still won the match. Raga looks to me like a guy who gets weak under pressure at the end of a match.

with the reservation of rumors of personal problems, i think he may be an example of someone 1) not successful in translating money match prowess to tournament play and 2) not playing well outside the islands. i've heard it said his homecourt table is sub 4" and in general trappy.. fun player tho.

both sky and billy in the L16, kinda rare. also two indonesians, one of which is new to me

I see

Wow. That was some match between Robbie and Fedor. Robbie hits 'em with eight racks in a row to lead 8-0 in a race to nine. It looks like it's all over.... but wait.... Fedor comes back with seven racks of his own to pull within one at 7-8.

Fedor makes a ball and begins another run out for hill-hill but misses a long two ball and Robbie closes the deal. Both players shot in the high 900's here. It was worthy of any final!

Robbie has had Fedor's number in 2025. He was the one who eliminated Fedor at the Florida Open, too. Robbie's runout skills are so elite that he is a threat to beat anybody and everybody in a big spot.

Look at all the new names on here. This was predictable with the advent of more big tournaments and the chance to win real money. Young athletes are starting to chose pool over other sports because they see a future in it.

Turns out that competition was good for the marketplace. Our sport is on the rise and new stars are emerging.

The manufacturers are loving it too. There is a new poolroom coming to a neighborhood near you!
