I've delt with plent of cue makers in my time and i have to say Paul is top notch. He answers his phone calls and replys to emails within 24 hours and most of them time within 2 hours....Even on the weekends.

If you are in the market for a new cue give PFD a try.

He has been easy to work with in every way possible. I've changed my design 3 or 4 times and each time he's been able to fit them in.

Anyway, my cue is due in a few months and i'll post some pics then.

thanks,

I'm sure your cue is going to look and play great. I wish you the best of luck with it.

But I gotta say, your account of Paul himself is probably not the POPULAR opinion of him.

I ordered a cue from Mr.Drexler a little over a month ago with a custom joint. He has been very helpful so far. While I hav'nt recieved my cue yet, I would recommend him just on how easy he has been to work with.

Heard nothing but good things from a local pro that bought one of his Hoppes a few years ago. Seemed very nice when I spoke with him once on the phone!

I've had several dealings with Mr. Drexler, and he has always delivered an excellent product each and every time. I consider him to be in the top 5 cuemakers for quality and designs... and of course his cues have that all important great HIT.

I recently sold off about 15 collectible cues such as Hercek, Schick, Josswest, Mottey, Lambros, and etc. NOT out of necessity, but because I lost interest in owning cues that I didn't play with. The one cue I kept was my Drexler 5 point full-splice. It has been my player for the last 5 years. During that period I switched playing cues from time to time, but always went back to the cue that Paul built.

That's what i'm talking about! I can't wait for my cue!!

Part of his problem

Pauls cues look so good that most people assume they dont play well.

I have a Uni-lock and love it.

It is made of koa. with curly maple points.

I have pics.

I ordered a custom cue from Paul and he was great to work with, I did not care for the hit of the cue but that is not a slam on his workmanship or his excellent customer service. It was just a little too soft for my taste, but that was probably a function of the make up of the cue. I think he does a lot to advance cue design forward. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new cue.
