Here is the cue Paul made for the theme of the ICCS this year. Some of you may have seen it in another thread but it was mixed in with several other cues and I thought it deserved it's own thread.

Sorry for the crappy photos. I didn't have my light box with me at Paul's today so this was the best I could do under the circumstances. :p

FYI, it not available for sale. A gentleman from Texas is the proud new owner!

Paul Drexler`s cue entry into The Burl Wood Special Collection at this year`s ICCS show is simply stunning.

When holding the cue, a full appreciation can be made of the cue: Design, choice of woods, execution in construction (flawless), special treatment for the joint and buttcap, etc....

A great cue, as has been the norm for Paul with ICCS Special Collection cues.....always.....

Thanks for posting the pictures of this "Special" Collection cue........

with so many monster cues in texas....i wonder when there is going to be another cue show in texas? great looking paul drexler......

Great cue, and I love how "out of the box" his designs are. He may start a new trend with the relief carving treatment on the butt cap and joint. I wish he would come up with some better ring work though.

Man, that is one cool-ass cue! What a great design matched with some amazing wood. Beauty!

I too like the "relief carving" in the joint and butt-cap.

I am curious if the joint is oversized or close to "normal" and to what degree (if any) the elimination of material in the joint affects the integrity of the joint.

Either way, it looks freakin' awesome!

I believe the joint is "normal" size.

I'm not sure how it plays but I'm sure the design won't have an effect on the structural integrity.

I had Paul make me a shaft for a break cue once and when it was done it had an ivory ferrule on it. When I saw it I was a bit concerned but Paul reassured me with a simple statement that put my mind at ease regarding the strength of ivory...

"elephants push trees over with this stuff!"

I never worried about having the ivory ferrule on my break shaft again. Lol
