atlas has canvas and linen phenolic for sale. in your pics you show natural canvas phenolic that atlas sells for around $14.00/40 inch rod. just cut the rod into 1.25" sections and make your own ferrules for next to nothing.

Can you give atlas web

Thanks

I have some Natural Canvas Phenolic cut to 1.125", drilled and tapped, ready to install that I would sell. I also have .250" tips available also.

Thanks,
Zim

Just thought I'd give a little info about these and show a photo.
ZCC J/B Combo:
* 1.100" long
* .565" diameter
* 5/16-18 threaded hole .750" deep
* $10.00 each or buy 5 get 1 free.

ZCC J/B Tip:
* .250 tall (thick)
* .565 diameter
* $3.00 each or buy 5 get 1 free.

Both the ZCC J/B Combo and the ZCC J/B Tip are made from natural (tan) canvas phenolic, pre-faced, not rounded. This gives your customer the option of choosing how rounded they want it or if they would like to just put a leather tip on the J/B Combo.

I've had a handfull of people enquiring about them, so I thought I'd share more info here.

iT IS BETTER TO GET THE FERRULE AND SHAPE IT INSTEAD OF GLUEING A PHENOLIC TIP ONTO YOUR EXISTING FERRULE. iF YOU BREAK REALLY HARD THE TIPS CAN POP OFF.

Actually, if the tip is installed properly, and the ferrule is not a cheap plastic (like some ferrules from China) it will not pop off! I've been using a canvas phenolic tip on my j/b cue for over a year now and it hasn't budged at all.

Just wanted to add my experience!

Especially if you hit off center!

I tried 3 different Break tips on 3 shafts, 2 phenolic and 1 leather. A friend and I broke racks for 2 hours, trying them to see which was best. No problems. That night, on my basement table, my girlfriend tried one and the tip popped off! On a miscue! I said that's OK, try this one. Another miscue, another airborne tip! I switched to epoxy and let her miscue to her heart's content, LOL. I guess the lateral load of a miscue popped the super glue bond.

The tips will pop off sooner or later pretty much no matter what. I even used to use JB Coldweld and it worked pretty well...but still...often..."plink"...there went your phenolic tip. The way to cure this is do like I do. Create the tip with a 1/4 in. 5/16-18 threaded stem...and thread them down into an unbreakable ferrule thats drilled and tapped to accept the same. Then regular old CA gel will hold it on forever with no problems. I've never had one come off if installed in this fashion.
Now someone please hit me with some rep points for giving away top secrets to all on this forum!!!!;) :D

I left out an important part to my post. If you hit dead center no problems but if you miscue they can pop off from side pressure no matter how well they are glued on.

Excellant point. This is how I do mine also if they don't want to change to the whole ferrule route.
