There was a photography thread around here but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, I scored this thing dirt cheap at the flea market. :D I understand I will still need to use some sore of diffuser...but it should be useful, no?

It has a gazillion adjustments and it looks like some sort of special bulbs inside. They work and are very bright but are unmarked bulbs.

Nice, that has possibilities, the sticky to photos is the top column on this gallery. Rod.

What you bought is a copy stand. The camera attaches to the center post and the lights being out of camera view do not reflect in the taken image. It would be good for close up of ferrules, tips and signatures. The lights are probably 3400 kelvin degrees for movie titles. Larry 860-404-1727 for more information.

Thanks! Copy stand? You mean like for copying photos?

Yeah, I figured use the camera mount for small stuff. I could also just use the lights with the camera elsewhere on my tripod and some diffusers for full cue pics. In other words it could be useful just for the light stands too I think.

I found a name on it: Welt/Safe-Lock

Thanks!

I totally missed that they made it a sticky! Great idea!

Possibilities? Yup. That's just what I figured. Anything that plugs into an electrical outlet and has mechanical adjustments has to be a good thing, no? (That's what I told my wife. :D)

My wife is still lolling her eyes, because at a swap meet, I bought a big fish net, and two telescoping poles, to make a golf ball catcher to practice golf over the bank behind the house, lol. It turns out I need to stick to pool, my golf sucks, lol.
