Photos In The Pool Room

I haven't done this yet but have been thinking about this for a long time. There are times when I wish I had a digital camera to take pictures of the things that go on in the pool rooms I visit.

If anyone else is interested in this, I might be persuaded to start carrying my camera with me.

I would love to see some of the more special pictures in pool halls that people take around the country. A couple of months ago I had a guy so big and so bad looking that no one wanted to play pool with him. He was about 375 pounds, approximately 35 years of age, hair every where and as mean a man as I have ever seen. I played him one game and he quit. Once more I escaped. LOL There are plenty of other sights that happen from time to time and if someone has some ideas about how we could all contribute to a LARGE FAMILY PHOTO ALBUM ONLINE, I think it would be great. If you think the AZ Photo section will do I will investigate it as well.

I am just imagining having photos sent in from pool halls all over the world and they would be categorized by where they came from and the name of the pool hall. I'm imagining that it would be similar to a family tree but primarily with photos. Some captions on the photos would be great too.

Is there a free service that best meets these requirements? Or is anyone interested at all?

www.Flickr.com would meet what you are talking about. You can get a free account that may or may not be enough but a year is only like 20 bucks or something and has unlimited upload ect. That sounds like a cool idea.

Bill: I'm going to steal that raised railbird seat idea! A friend of mine in Chicago filled his pool rooms with seats from a defunct theater, so its not a new idea for me...using them in the home is.

You have to do some digging but most of his pictures are of New York City bars w/ pooltables and poolhalls. I know Amsterdam Billiards and Broadway billiards are there. What I like most about many of the photos is that the subjects do not know their picture is getting taken.

Yes, Joey. Try this. It is my account at Photo Bucket. They are free. http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a92/hemicudas/ .

The big bad guy 375Lbs sure sounded like Humphrey until you added the 35 years old, LOL.

the photos of the home pool room are of Harold "Hitman" Macabee. The Squirrel's partner in crime.

The guy looked like he would eat Humphrey for breakfast and then look around for another morning snack. LOL

STarcade Billiards in Fort Walton Beach Florida has these defunct seats in their pool room.

There is an almost brand new theatre out in New Orleans east that is probably going to be throwing out all of their chairs shortly. The building hasn't been torn down just yet. Katrina put an ass whipping on it thought and I can only imagine the condition of the chairs.

Hey Jude,
Sorry I can't stop addressing you like that.

William definitely is the pool hall shutterbug.
Those are the type of photos I would like everyone in AZ to contribute. Maybe not in that type of volume for sure but I like to be able to relate to the photos a little bit more. If I post some of the photos I take in the coming months and years I will add a little description to the photos or a story perhaps.

Anyway, yeah that's what the type of photos I would like other AZers to post.

$Bill, that is one classy personal pool room your buddy has.
Thanks,
JoeyA

Do you have any pics of the pool room itself other than the seating?
