Keith M. use to say when he wanted the cue ball to freeze to the object ball...with total conviction "Get your Marriage license'!!! But when they didn't freeze he would announce to everyone...ahh "There just living together" (not frozen) use to crack me up!

A lot of people outside of pool understand the meaning of being "behind the 8 ball".

Same goes for:

"Miscue"

"Scratch"

"Bank shot"

"Playing it safe"

"Hanger"

"Lag"

And of course, probably the two most well known pool terms of all:

"Butt" and "tit". :D

Money on the wood makes the bettin good!, I've only heard you and one other person use that phrase, it's a goodone though.
