Pia Filler hates wood shafts

it would take a few wet months for good maple shafts to turn a bit, then after a few months they can return to straight condition

but my great shafts dont turn for almost 10 years

players are more worried about the tips feel softer, wraps feel damper, than wood shafts feel different.

By the way, this whole CF vs wood debate just reminds me the debates from 25 years ago of LD vs standard shafts.
Eventually the top players adapted to LD shafts and enjoyed their advantages.
Amateurs followed.
Collectors just collect… who cares

20 years from now, players will laugh at threads like this one.

Try to embrace progress, you’ve already accepted the 9 on the spot and that the 5 is purple and that a CueTec costs around $1000
yep and 20 or even less years from now, you all if still around will be buying some new material miracle shaft for even more money that does you no more good than what you are now using.

as well as the special 100 dollar chalk that keeps your hands cleaner.

and the current pros will be touting it while getting paid for doing it.

as much as I love using my Tiger Fortis Pro CF shaft, I can't say any bad words about wood shafts other than warping. that is my only issue about them. I shoot better with the CF shaft but that is only after I improved my skills at pool without the help of a CF shaft.

Naw, I think we still pretty much reserve most of our laughter for CTE threads...

agree. IMO most of cf's benefits are 'ease of ownership' aka straight/slick/ding-proof/etc. I've tried a bunch of them and i don't play any better or felt like wood shafts are sub-par performers.

agree and the benefit i see is they may have less deflection for those that haven't learned how to play with it. or cannot adjust to the few times it comes into play.

In the big scheme of things, does anyone REALLY care about what Pia Filler likes or doesn’t like? During the COVID lockdown I met her and Joshua when they were holed up in Roy’s Basement. She went on a bit about how much she loved McDonalds food as she was stuffing one of their breakfast sandwiches in her face. That was enough for me to question her judgement.

it would have been nice if something like this was said to her by The Rock,
