I personally dont like the list...to me its not really reaonable.....but My husband does have a Gina and it hits pretty nice...SO I would have to say Ginacue
No offense intended, but your question really is not possible to answer. How can some one pick a cue as a player without first playing with the cue? To my limited knowledge no two cues hit exactly alike, not even if they are made by the same cue maker. In fact, I had a cue that I absolutely loved made by a cue maker, which I will leave anonymous that was stolen. I tried for a couple of years and could not find anything like the cue in question, so I contacted the Cue Maker (Very Well Respected Cue Maker) who I personally knew and had him build a duplicate of my old cue.
When the cue was finished, it certainly looked exactly like my original cue in every respect. But, when I took the cue for a test run it certainly did not hit like my old cue, and I was very disappointed. However, I learned this very important lesson which I have imparted to those who wish to listen in my post to this thread.
So in the end a name is meaningless when it comes to a cue that is going to be used as a player. Any cue, by any cue Maker can be a great or a bad player, and it will depend upon many things important to each individual. I hope you understand my point, and again no disrespect intended.
Jumping in here with an idea that's way out of line, but here goes.
If you want a great playing cue with a nice hit and decent looks, you can't go wrong with a custom made Schmelke full-splice in Cocobolo and Birdseye maple.
Really nice cues at a great price. Plus you'll have some change left in your pocket.
Give em a call and see what they can do for you. They've made three cues for me so far, love 'em all. While they aren't exactly jail bait, they sure do look nice.
