He had better use some concrete anchors to make sure it doesnt scoot across the floor. I think I could turn about 10 pens on that thing at one time....LOL.

Metal lathe is way better than Model B as the cross feed on the B has to much play and makes it hard to flat face anything. It is all right as a repair lathe to do tips, ferrules, and wraps but about worthless to build a cue on.

Not saying that you cannot build a cue on one but life is so much easier with good old metal lathe.

Slap on a set of taper bars and you could make expensive saw dust too lol. Looks like a nice shaft spinner as is lol.
