a couple other pics didnt make it , i'll email them to someone tomarrow, i sincerly thank Russ for posting them, i'm just to lame to remember how to post pics.

I play with the 5th cue from the right, its 58.25" long 13mm shafts I dont know the weight but its gotta be 19.5-19.7oz.

I was hesitant to post the pics but I said once here on AZ that there is no reason to hide beatiful works of art. I'm not the owner, sure they are in my possition but far as I'm concerned they belong to Barry Szam, he made them. Especially the tribute cue-its pricless, he built it with his heart and love for his dad, how can that be my cue? Its not.

I'm soooo lucky to be inposession of this collection, I just wanted to share it, The pics of the butts didnt make it, if someone is kind enough to PM me a email addy I'll send them over to post, Russ did a reat job and I dont want to have him do to much.

I hope everyone enjoys them and I'll answere any questions anyone might have. Seeing them here even amazes me, they will never be sold-not one of them. I believe there are 19 in the pic, I have a GSB(a Gus & Barry) cue, I thought it would be more approiate to post it with the Gus collection sometime. Im a humble guy who still cant believe i'm holding these cues. Its an honor. Please enjoy...

Happy holidays.

PS I dont have a favorite, except the Tribute Cue becaue of the emotion Barry put into it honoring his dad. Other than that I love them all the same-$$$ has nothing to do with this.

Nah he has alot to be proud of, its not a contest to see who has what or how many, even before I could afford a Szam I dreamed of owning one that was 22 years ago, I got my life in order and carefully put this together, I was reluctant to post them because I didnt want to upset anyone. But I thought more people would enjoy them than people who get upset, hindsight I should have posted them without my name on them, thinking about it the thread should have been a annouminous Barry collection, i dont want anyone to be jealous, I want people to enjoy Barrys work, he continues his fathers legacy with all his heart and love and thats what counts, not who owns them. Next time I have a collection posted my name wont be on it, I'm not looking for attention-I like to share the work, love and passion of beatiful cues, they all play great. The only cue I wont hit a ball with is the "Tribute Cue". Just enjoy forget who has them that isnt the point.

man. man oh man.

the tribute to my dad cue... wow.

can i put the ebony on ebony on layaway?

the Ebony on ebony is cue #400 and is one of my top 5 favorites, its perfect in so many ways, It plays jam-up.

My favorite is in the middle with peacocks in the butt sleve and points, its rose wood. It was my first Barry and is my favorite looking cue of all time,

I have been playing with the 5th from the right, I love the hit but its too fancy for a daily player for me, I have been using it 4 months, i never nick, bump etc any of my cues so I dont worry about that, I just dont like the attention, owning flashy cues to look at at home-something I do all the time, they dont get dusty, but going to a pool room with "Big" cues isnt my style I have awalys played with player cues,

enjoy, forget about me. think of barry szam and what he learned from gus. Thats what is really important. Not me.

Thank you Hustler and FB for posting these pictures. These are all incredibly stunning works of art and pieces of billiard history.

I was just kidding with Kenny. He has a pretty solid line up of cues himself. It is cool that you hit balls with them. I always thought it a shame that so many high end cues go right from the box to the safe without ever being played. That is an integral part of the beauty to me, that something so intricate and well executed on an artitisic level is also at the highest level of functionality for it's intended purpose.

yeah i hit balls with a 8pt & 6pt gus(those are big cues) and they get played with, problem is you cant travel with them unless your driving or charter a jet, and that gets pricey. So I perfer player cues, I have a sugartree I play with too and thats one hell of a cue!!!!. i just discovered a new brand of a cue, i'll name it later that is right up there too for a player, but at home I do take out all the cues but 1 and exercise them, I adjust to cues fast so I play good, there are a few that I cant get the hang of but still use them, it is a waste for them to get locked up and only taken to cue show's to show-off or sell, you'll never see my cues at a show or me. I like action and to use them for their intend purpose

Fattie I am actually glad to hear you say that........ It really disappoints me to see a damn great playing cue be stored in a case in the deepest closest........Never to be played with.....

Curious...... ANy one of them goin to be played with at DCC?

Wow.....Jeff Willings has really thinned his collection down!! Some cues there I thought he would never sell.

Great cues Fatboy.

Hi Fatboy,

I was up at Barry's place about a month ago and didn't get a chance to see you collection in person. Wow..man I wish I could have stay longer to check them out personally :). Here's another pic of the Szamboti that is currently moving to Asia after 15 years in US. I love the traditional Gus's 3-D ivory and box inlays! Just a true classic ivory hit..quiet and deadly. If you look at this cue, you will see element of both Gus (butt sleeve) and Barry's (forearm) work especially when you put it up against your collection.

The ebony No. 100 cue look amazing and the original owner is also the original owner of this cue. If I'm not mistaken the predator shafts in this pics were meant for the No. 100 cue.

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

Regards
