Here are a couple of pictures of the AZ room. I was lucky to be there to play Stefano Pelinga a challenge match. Very engaging guy, I wish I could have made his exhibition later that night. I have alot of pictures of 1pRoscoe, and some of Sarah. You can see the banner that Sizl made behind 1pRoscoe in one of the pictures. Very good work!

Just a couple more...

The first attached picture is the room organizer, Williebetmore with Hillbilly Charlie Bryant. I have to tell you I was there the first day, and he put alot of work in getting it ready for everyone.

The second picture is when Shawn Putnam and Allen Hopkins stopped in to play some one pocket for awhile.

The third is Satman who was making full use of the table the first weekend along with 1pRoscoe.

The fourth is new IPT'er Aaron Czeti, playing in a match, known also as Al-fahar Amir. (Something close to that anyway)

The fifth of course is Earl.

Those were awesome. Thanks for taking the time.

Al-fahl Amir is Corey Deuel's friend. I owe him lots of gratitude for showing me the way to understanding. LOL And he did it before I knew Corey was around. :)

Diana sent me this one from the room. Can someone id the players in it?

Mike

The only one I recognize is the second gentleman which is none other than DANNY HARRIMAN. From what I have been reading, he is doing FANTASTIC in the straight pool event!

We spoke to Harry Platis last evening, and he was on cloud nine after making the qualifier for the straight pool tournament. He also said that they were going to be having the IPT qualifier last night. I was hoping to read something about who won that IPT qualifier spot.

Girlwon1, THANKS VERY MUCH for the pictures. It sure is nice to see what's happening. Very much appreciated. Keep 'em coming!:p

I think the gentleman sitting down is David Hunt from Richmond, Virginia, in the picture with Earl Strickland.

Somebody please help me with the photo of Earl... I am either hallucinating or I see him wearing a glove on his non-bridge hand and he seems to be holding an old tattered cue... Has he been smoking something... or am I on crack?? And where are his sunglasses?

The last few times I've seen Earl play, he DID have a glove on his non-bridge hand. Old tattered cue- can't quite tell. Sunglasses- I think he only uses those where there's alot of light. Hopefully, someone else could add more info.

When I saw Earl play on Saturday, he had some type of athletic tape or something over the wrap area of his cue. Also note that his cue is "hacked" off at the bottom of the wrap. He's been playing with a cue like this for over a year or so. He was also wearing his usual cue glove on his bridge hand, but he also had his fingers taped up or something. On his right hand, he looked to be wearing a black golf glove. Oh, and no glasses this year, that I saw.

Back to the group shot from the AZ room.....

The yellow/white rugby shirt is AZ's goingproin07, nice kid. The gentleman in the back on the right end is AZ's OldHasBeen, Tom Ferry. I'm not sure of the others.

JoeyA from Louisiana is third from left, behind Harriman. He is a super nice guy. It was great to meet several of the AZ'ers..

I heard that the "hacked" off cue was something he did after being beaten in a tournament by a snooker player with a smaller cue.

Awsome pictures!!!!!!

Nice to see someone from Louisiana and "my" area in a picture :P:P:P

Earl the Girl Strickland.......what a loon but one heck of a player!!!!

When I spoke with Earl back at the Windy City Open in October of 2004, he had his cue hacked off the same way. He said he was tired of all that extra butt weight swinging around behind his grip hand and throwing his stroke off, so he cut it off. It literally looked like he went out to his garage, grabbed a hacksaw, and cut the buttsleve off. It seems to be working for him as he did play rather well at the Mosconi Cup this year. I'm just wondering why Cutec hasn't jumped on the marketing bandwagon......unless they don't want to market a 53", 15.5 ounce cue.
