is the young boy Landon from NJ who graced the cover of insidepool at the ripe age of 5 for his trick shot abilities a few years back?

Efren's draw shot in second pic in post #1

Great pictures, and obviously a great camera too!

In Efren's draw shot in the second picture in post #1, it looks
like he is really elevating his cue for that draw shot. I never
really noticed that he does that. I will have to keep my eye
out for that when watching him play in the future.

Many thanks for posting those fantastic pictures.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

I am using a Nikon D80 with a Nikkor 70-300 VR lens. The ISO is between 800-1000, the E/V is -.07. Everything else is auto.

I will post some more pics tommorow. Must sleep......:D

I knew it. those kind of photos would only normally come from an SLR. Nikon always is always excellent when it comes to photography. everything is made easy now through digital technology and automation. though I miss the difficult days of holding a manual pro cam. :(

I was there, and the players didn't seem at all comfortable (except Bustamante who won it). The tables had really tight pockets. I saw at least 6 or 7 missed 9 balls on Saturday. That was the day that Efren got eliminated by Tony Crosby (major upset for most). Anyway, nice pics. Thank you for sharing :)

i know no one cares but i got to hold the cue that efren is currently using when he took over our puclic table at hardtimes in bellflower at the exibition a month back.

fyi: he joking asked lori(local player, used to coach efren back in the day. incorrect spelling) if he could jokingly trade him cues for his montalvo. no joke.

I think the proximity of the rail caused that more than a shooting trait.

Great quality pics, the jump shot one with the shutter opened showing the cue come up is amazing, the lighting, colors, composition are fantistic, did I mention the players? :)

I met and spoke to the 12 year old player, what an amazing "Kid" he carries himself like a seasoned pro thats a class act think Howard Vikory etc and is just amazing I hope he stays on track, I believe he will he has the right stuff and I believe he has good parents and they will teach him to be a great person when he grows up, I wonder how Efren played at his age? Its nice to see that-I'm hugely envious of his natural talent, it would be a pity if he goes off track.

Great photos Justin. It was nice meeting you out here. By the way, one of your photos from the U.S. Bar Table made it into Billiards Digest. It's included with my story about the event on P.62 of the May issue. I wrote that story, not Audra Quinn. And got paid for it! You will get a check for your photo too.

If you haven't met JCIN, he is the big guy in the back of the photo on his avatar. He looks like he could play for the Cleveland Browns. Good work Justin. Keep it up.

Thanks Jay, Mason sent me a magazine and a check for the pic. Great article, the people that matter know who wrote it :D Amy had 2 pictures from LA in that issue also. We also had the cover of this months Pool and Billiard Magazine. Good month :D

Amy and I will be in Vegas for the BCA events and I am going to Florida the next week to shoot the World 10 Ball tournament and sweat Shane in the tournament.

I plan on posting pictures from both tournaments here and on our website live from the event. Gonna be a fun and busy 2 weeks. :D
