That is one beautiful room, it reminds me of a line from the Hustler " this is Ames, nothing but Pool " . The rooms here in the States try very hard to disguise themselves as not Pool Rooms, by loading them up with TV's , and assorted games. They try to have a little something for everyone and up being not much of anything, so they they close their doors in a few years and sing the same refrain " Pool is dead "

Very nice looking pool room. My wife's parents moved here to the U.S. from Croatia in the mid to late 60's, she still has a lot of family there.
Hope you will visit Croatia once.Beside this nice poolhall we have some that should be seen.The seaside is gorgeous:smile::smile::smile:

That pool hall looks fantastic! I've always wanted to visit Croatia (being 1/2 Croatian). Maybe next year i'll sneak away to Greece and Croatia to do some family visits?
How are the house cue's there? It would be difficult to travel so much with my cues just for a day at the tables.

Well,regardign to house cues,they are pretty good since they are very well taken care of.All of them has nice tips and even some of them have laminated tips.Beside this,you will easily borrow custom cue from most of the players.I would even let you to choose between big amount of cues the one that suits you the best.
Family will certainly be glad of seeing you here and you have plenty things to see here,maybe taking sightseeing.

They are decent "ontario" house cues i think...
Accommodations are easily to find and not very expensive .
I am not sure what about yours wifes there,but here they can't stand us playing pool:grin::grin::grin:

Beside that,as we all know pool is like a disease.you can't rid of it.Never can't stop playing easily:wink:
When you shoot well,you don't want to go since you play great and you are satisfied and when you play bad,you refuse to go home until you start playing well:wink:

There are at least two tournaments each week,on Mondays and on Tuesdays:smile:
Business is struggling but there is no surrender:smile::smile::smile:
Pool is our life and we will do whatever is needed to keep it alive:smile:
The worst periods are during late June,July and August.On summers most of people do other thing rather than play pool.
However,the joint was open almost 9 years ago and is still here and works.Hope it keeps staying alive for quiet some time:smile:

bquiggle...You should open one in CB! Great communicating with you, and we will get together in June when I make it up your way again! Still amazed that our paths never crossed when we know so many of the same people! LOL :grin:
On topic...very nice looking room Ivicafranic and Peter_Gunn! You obviously take pride in the room, and your members care about keeping it up too...especially with such low table time rates! Do you have a "house" instructor to help new members improve their games?
