That would be an insult to the word, 'cheap'.
I didn't wanna fire the 'c' word by i kind of agree. KaoKao in Taiwan made a bunch of cues like this. they play fine but are not hi-end in any way.
i've seen a few so-called 'customs' that are/were worse. i've owned a few chinese cues and all played great and stayed straight. just hope the op is ready to know this cue isn't worth but 150bux or so.
Appreciate the feedback. I knew Asia was a strong candidate just based on the joint. My surprise is that I've never seen an unbranded overseas production cue this good. As background, I do collect, have a bunch, and have done *plenty* of sneering at Asian junk cues. It'll be even more informative to show this to the local makers, and it could be they can show me the negative I'm not seeing.
I found this while searching for a specific Pinnacle cue, this isn't it by the way.
Pinnacle seems to have had a short run a few years ago. They were selling several models new on Ebay.
I have seen better in unbranded Asian cues, including from the same factory. Often people will say "it must be an Adam", or even US made.
From my notes, in no particular order, this cue was made in the same factory as:
1) Craftmaster
2) Cobra
3) Competition
4) Slyfoxx
5) GW Collection, Dave Pearson
6) Pinnacle
7) Sierra
8) Unbranded
9) Mizerak
10) World of Leisure
That list is based on the fact that there is one specific cue model/design that was branded by all of them. The difference in quality is vastly different between some of them.
There are also have been some available in Asia, Europe, and South America that we don't see in the US, including unbranded ones.

Same cue with the Cobra logo. So, as I said in my last post, sold under various brand names, made by Kao Kao.
As I said they also made the same model cues over the years with varying degrees of quality. They could to better rings, veneers, better finishes, 14 pins, linen wraps, etc. I guess they would make them to whatever spec the contract would call for.
It's cue number 4205 on page 18 in the 2017 to 2021 Kao Kao Business to Business catalog.

I am sure it was made in Taiwan and it had a label on it saying the shaft was made of Canadian Maple. The gold label on it also identified it as a Willie Mosconi model and it had a picture of him on the label.
The cue had four painted green points and the wrap was leather painted the same color as the points and butt.
I won tons of money with that cue and played with it for years.
I'm sure it cost less than Efren's $12 cue.
It was the only Taiwan cue I ever had.
I lived in Taiwan for three years later on and didn't bring a cue with me.
I played and gambled every day and could have bought cues for a dime a dozen, but I used a one-pice house cue and still beat everyone.
I probably hit hundreds of thousands of balls with that old green cue.

I agree, but mostly due to the design and materials choices. The workmanship doesn't actually look all that bad to me, especially for a lower end cue.
It actually has some nice wood in it.
It's not really that horrible. It kind of reflects some of the old Adam designs but not executed nearly as well.
But when someone buys a cue like this new, they could get a much better made, but simpler cue from a better maker for the same money. Maybe just a sneaky or merry widow.
Honestly, I think you get these pretty darn cheap when you buy them in a bulk order from the manufacturer.
The guy that was selling Pinnacle cues was selling much nicer ones for $75 back in the middle of 2018. Seriously much nicer. Nicer design. Great finish, nice wood, nice rings, real pressed linen wrap. I don't think he has sold cues since then, I think he sells more like commercial equipment, automotive, and machinery...and some other random stuff.
I think that was the last of them in 2018 and those were clearance prices, but they were seriously much nicer than the one posted here.
The Kao factory turns out a lot of crappy stuff, but they are actually very capable and make some very nice cues.
