Pinoy/ young guns updates

Yes Gomez and Sky were the only missed shots

Gomez has occassional problems finishing a match. unfortunately, this problem happens on very important matches. We can all recall the world 9-ball finals in 07. He was undefeated throughout the qualifiers, through the group round, until the finals. His record was outstanding - last64 beat Lely 10-1; last32 beat Fong Pang Chao 10-2; last16 beat Feijen 11-0; quarters beat Kou Po Cheng 11-4; semis beat boyes 11-4. then he fails in the most important shots of his life in the finals. this happened again last year when Thorsten beat him in the finals here in the Philippines. And now this doubles match. :(

Don't worry. Efren was called the Manila Folder one time too.
Johnny Archer has a few bridesmaid finishes too before becoming great.
Busti was the same in early 90's.

Sky Woodward, Justin Bergman, versus Dennis Orcollo, and Roberto Gomez race to 15 games of 8-Ball, winner Breaks.

The young guns break and run the first 4 racks, and then play great to get a lead of 11-5 and after a few mistakes lose the momentum and then fall behind 13-11.

Then the Filipino team led 14-13 and was shooting the match ball only to miss and make the 8 ball in the wrong pocket.

With the score tied at 14-14 they agreed to play win by two and the Young Guns broke and ran the final two racks to close out the victory at 16-14.

Jay, thank you for reply. Can you tell what shaft model he is playing? I just bought yesterday a Tiger Ultra X shaft, and I like it, so I was curios what shaft Dennis use.

He has several Tiger shafts, but the Ultra is his main one.

Match started with USA running 4 racks. The Pinoys struggled early and USA got out to a 9-2 lead. At 11-6, USA made a couple of mistakes and then found themselves down 13-11 without getting many opportunities. It went to 14-12, then 14-13 with Pinoys shooting at the 8 for the win and Gomez jarred it and it went into the wrong pocket for the loss. At hill hill we decided to play win by 2 and the USA broke and ran 2 racks for the win.

All players played exceptional for most of the time. There was a very high percentage of break and runs. An occasional position mistake was made here and there. Very few balls missed.

Are you putting it on YouTube or is it still for purchase somewhere? Lots of us want to check it out
