Places to play in Kalamazoo, MI

There's a chance I might make it out to Kalamazoo in a few weeks, although it's still up in the air. Anyone know of good places to play? Just looking for a place with good equipment and 9' tables. Any ideas?

Yep...Playtime is it for anywhere in the area. Our room closed up a couple months ago (Brickyard Pub). Playtime is okay...the equipment is just okay, and not well maintained. The table closest to the door is probably the best table.

Kalamazoo pool room

Hey Dave,

Never been to Kalamazoo, and Scott lee said brickyard pub closed, which I think was jayme goodwin's room.

Ask around for Matt Rosendaul. He is the one that started US Open One Pocket. He was affiliated with Billiards Playground, where the first few years events were held.

He gave me the rights in 2004 when I bought the leagues from the BCA.

I have lost track of him but think he was still in that area a couple of years ago.

If you run into him, please say hello for me.

I don't know if Matt is still around town or not. But, Playtime is the only room left open in Kazoo. Blackbirds was real nice, but they close a while back too. Playtime used to be in town, now it's on the south side of town.

Jayme Goodwin has the room in Battlecreek....
..I think it is still open but I hear he keeps taking out pool tables and
is concentrating on the bar business..
I thought he won a US Open 1-pocket, but people say he was second.

Jayme Goodwin did win the 1996 US Open One Pocket. I was there...

What I cannot remember for sure is if Accu-Stats was there. It seems like I also remember having this match (on old VHS) from them, but I would have to check my inventory to be certain.

Peace.

Thanx for that info, Razor...I was pretty sure he had won the Open 1-hole.
...another source said he came second, but I remember Jayme telling me
about it in his room...he considered himself a 9 baller and was as astounded as everybody else that he had won.

..how come your post was so short and concise?....what are you?....
..parsimonious or something?
