Plastic Baggie Ball Cleaner Hack

Not sure where this first came up, but I've read about using a small sandwich size zip-lock baggie and Aramith cleaner to clean my pool balls. To whomever first came up with that and/or posted it.....THANKS! Genius idea! It works amazingly well, and probably gets the most out of a small quantity of the Aramith cleaner too.

I did four balls in a row, then buffed/polished them with a microfiber cloth, followed by the next four balls, and so on, and so on. The cleaner got all the chalk marks off the cue practically effortlessly, and the whole set looks like new again.

If you haven't tried this, and don't have a mechanical ball cleaner, I'd strongly recommend trying it.

Are you saying you use the sandwich baggie like you would use a cloth rag??? Or are you putting the balls and the Aramith cleaner inside the baggie???

Inquiring minds want to know.

Ball in baggie, drop of polish, quick rub and set aside. Takes about 8 drops to do all 16 balls.

I do 3 before cloth polishing and then they go in the polisher.

I put the ball in the baggie, and drop a couple drops of cleaner on the ball, then zip the baggie closed and squeeze and squirt the ball inside the baggie with your hands. Hands stay nice and clean, and the baggie helps redistribute the cleaner all over the ball. Then take out the ball and add another ball to the baggie. I did four balls before going back and wiping the dried haze off the first one. So clean four, then wipe/polish those same four, and on to the next four. I'd add a bit more polish to the baggie for every four balls, but it's really efficient since the baggie stays wet inside with the polish, and it cleans quickly.

I've been doing this for 10 years. It works eally well with ONLY 1 ball at a time, and you simply 'massage' the ball through the bag.

yup. I use this method as well. Read it here somewhere a number of years ago. Works very well.

I put a small amount/polisher in a zip lock, put 4 balls in the bag at once to lube em up before I drop em in the polisher.

Doing it this way, the polishing liquid lasts allot longer (use very little) when applying to a complete ball set.

I put 3 drops on a ball and swirl the ball in between my finger tips.
My Ballstar cleaner does 8 balls at a time. After being polished, I
spray each ball with Blue Diamond Polish & Sealant and towel dry.
The balls sparkle and resist losing the sheen after many hrs. of play.
