i bust out some cues that cant ever be replaced and play with them sometimes, not just bang a few balls but play. One example is a GSB I have how many of those will there ever be???-a handful at best, if there was no rish of losing it travelling(like being able to carry it on the jet) I would use it as my main player,yes its that good.


i dont go to places where i have to worry about my cue, if i gotta worry about my cue, i really need to worry about my health, so i avoid joints like that

The 2 Gus cues I own get played with almost every weekend (including yesterday). :yes:

I'm disapointed you're not going to be at VF this year. Was looking forward to meeting you this year. :smile:
 
BlowFish, SSach, Tom, Mike.........Thank you for the comments, I am glad people share my sentiments. Tom.....I haven't got a 1 butt 8 shaft case yet, just because I may have more shafts coming. Mike....as Sean has shown, its not the Tucker Cue but its very similar. I like the stacked veneers in the Tucker but I prefer the ringwork and veneers in mine.

Joe/Sean......I can't see any spending sprees like last time at VF in the near future ($55,000 in 3 days) cause the baby is on the way but famous last words!!!!!!!!! Lets see what happens next year.

Eric....shooting with the GSB....thats what its all about. Nice one and rep to you.

Walker....rep also. We all love these creations and we cherish them. Best way to pay respect to the maker is to use it and kick someones ass out of $1000, first to 9 giving him the 7. Sorry I can't make it but the wife is 20 weeks gone now. Found out on Friday its a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Thanks Kenny. Baby is due in July. Its certainly going to put a stop on cue buying lol!!! Oh, and Michelle won't let me call the baby Simon, ha, ha, ha!!

Congratulations to you and your wife, Simon. :thumbup: Being a parent is the biggest honor that can be bestowed upon anyone, not to mentioned the responsibility. Exciting days ahead for you both....take care and enjoy every little thing. It goes by so quickly. :)
 
Congratulations again Simon and it's true what you said about the cues. After Barry talked to me about it a few years ago, I actually felt guilty about not hitting balls with some of my cues. Its what they're meant for.

Forgot to mention this.....check out the amazing cue caps on the Szam, made by the great Alton Takata. Whilst at VF, I would appreciate someone spending a night with Alton and paying for his food and drinks. I will pick up the tab. I will paypal the money over plus a bit on top for whoever does this.

Whilst we are on the subject, I would like someone to do the same with Kenny Koo also.

That's a great cue..and i'm glad you make that cue as your player cue?...how do you manage and knowing what shaft to use? just curious mate...but none the less its a great cue that made by one of the greatest cuemaker of all time...if its a 5/16x14 joint...would mind letting me use one of the shaft please :angel2:..I am also sorry to know that you cannot make it...wifey and the baby is more important...hope we will see you next year with your wife and with your little angel...cheer mate...take care and god bless....oh oh can you incluce my tab also please..i only drink ice tea and of course 12 oz of ribeye steak medium well :thumbup:

If I told you how I decide on which shaft to use, everyone on AZ will think I am mad :) So I had better keep that little secret to myself, lol!!! You can have a shaft anytime, they are all 5/16-14.

Yes, I would like you to have a night out on me at VF too. Its the least I can do for not being there mate.

Great cue Si, and congrats on your baby! im still digging that Szam you sold me, im getting Mr Szamboti to make me new shafts, which he has so graciously agreed to do so, despite his super busy schedule :)

Thank you mate. Glad you like the stick. Barry is such a gracious individual. If he is like that, then all other cue makers should be like that in my opinion. If I ever get to Hong Kong to see Kam (When...?????), I will make sure I stop by Singapore on the way.

yes, he gives such great service just for 2 shafts, and given his busy schedule, it means alot to me.
