Playing with more then just one cue?

Since I don't get out much, I often play with multiple cues every night. All are in in 19 oz to 19.5 oz range. The primary adjustment to each cue is the tip. Going from a Sniper to a hard Talisman is an adjustment. Going from a cue with one Sniper to another, not so big a deal.

If I were a better player, I'd probably be more sensitive to the difference. But then, I'd also be better able to adjust.

If I played competitively on a regular basis, I'd pick one cue and stay with it. Until it betrayed me.

For me, I really don't have a problem switching using different cues. Like another forum member said, it takes me about an hour to adjust to the new cue.

I think it's definitely an advantage to having many cues. For me, I switch cues whenever I get in to a funk. As soon as I switch cues, I feel like I'm getting rid of the bad spell and it also gives me new enthusiasm about the game.

i like to switch cues, just because i have a bunch and i like to use whatever i'm in the mood for :). however, most of my cues are similar weight, and I have predator z2 shafts for all of them with the same type tip, so i really don't notice that much difference.
 
I wish that I could switch at times. My Dayton cue is all I play with right now, aside from a break cue. It's my favorite in all ways. I have several others that I really like, but they get no play now. The familiarity of your main playing cue is the edge that a custom cue gives you. It's such a part of you that you forget all about it. That's what a cue is supposed to feel like.

I'm trying to decide right now whether I want to sell the others, or just keep them as a collection. So far I haven't sold any...Tom
