Please Help Identify My First Cue

Thanks in advance! And now little back story:

My father has his own contracting business. Back in the late 80s he was doing a job on someone's garage. Under a tarp he noticed an old pool table and some cues. Well, the wheeler and dealer my father is, made a deal for the table in return for knocking some off the final price of the renovations. I don't have any pictures of the table, but it was a 60s - 70s model bar box with a single 1in thick piece of slate. It was a monster for being so small. Either way, the table came with old balls, and old BBC wooden rack and a hand full of old cues. Most of the cues were old BBC one piece cues that I don't have the heart to tell you of their fate. The below pictures are of the cue I claimed for myself. Had it all these years and just wondering if it is at all possible to find a maker. It looks old.

I cleaned up the ferrule when I installed the new tip the other day (badly) and it appears to be Micarta.

Here is the joint.

I don't know but this cue appears to be custom. Now I could be way off base. But the nice maple, Micarta ferrule and just the overall look and feel doesn't look to be import to me. I may never know, so I thought this would be the best place to ask.
Any help is most appreciated.

There is a similar one on Ebay that has the same type of joint and similar rings by the butt cap. Unfortunately, the seller doesn't have any actual information either.

Yes, yes; good catch. Some slight differences, but close. I guess the Micarta ferrule could have been added later along with the linen. The one in the link has a nylon wrap, mine is a linen.

I'll probably never now.
