Hello, a good friend Jerry Price brought a cue into my shop today that is very interesting. I have never seen anything like it, except and old Harvey Martin.

The cue is about 56 inch's long, the shafts appear to be made from old house cues that were turned down to shaft size. All white on the cue is Ivory including the joint and the ring at the bottom of the cues butt. The inlay-ed half bar bell designs in the forearm are also made of Ivory. The cue has a leather wrap, and I suspect that the was used for 3-Cushion due to the length of the wrap.

Any information on this cues age or the maker would be appreciated!!!

The cues pin are 5 1/6 - 18 slightly under sized.

That Cue Is Awesome. If It Becomes Available For Sale Please Let Me Know.

I Don't Have Any Idea Who Made It, But I've Seen That Joint Configuration Somewhere Before. If I Remember I'll Let You Know.

Hmmm... probably built by someone who only owns a tablesaw and a drill.

A Adams Cue On Ebay Has A Joint Somewhat Like It. I Know The Cue Is At Lest 75 Years Old And Maybe A Lot Older .

I agree with you on the age of the cue. I'm betting that its a Sampaio, Hiolle, or possibly a few other European makers (probably in Portugal, Spain, or Italy). Those type of red rubber bumpers were commonly used there. As imho it doesn't look like it could be the work of one of the early US makers from that period (Britner or Martin). Never seen those type of red bumpers used here, either, only on european cues. Nice old cue, though....bet it hits stiff as all get out !!

Here is a nice old website for those old cues, that someone may be interested in.
