Just got off the phone with Mr.Orlandi.
And he confirmed he made this cue.
A very insightful, entertaining, and otherwise awesome gentleman to speak with.
He stated that the cue was an old house cue conversion, wasn't sure of brand, he just remembered liking the particular wood. He mentioned that it was some of his earliest work based on the pin and joint, he doesn't use this type of mated/piloted joint anymore. He also mentioned the styling of the wrap going all the way down to an extended butt cap was a functional preference of Buddy Hall who liked to hold his cues at the ends. Lastly we talked about a weight bolt and a rubber bumper. He confirmed that the bolt located 7" deep inside the cue is indeed a weight bolt, and can be adjusted to move the balance point.
