Please recommend break cues

I always break with my Omen playing cue.

I used a Bludworth sneaky pete as a break cue for a long time and ended up giving it away.

IMO, break cues are over rated and a waste of money.

Oh, BTW, I only play One Pocket and 14.1

Mace Break/Jump

I highly suggest buying a Mace. They have been around for a long time and I don't think the design has changed one bit. If this is true, there has to be something good behind them to stay in business for 20 years. I have one and absolutely love it. Oh and they make a very good playing cue as well.

Rick makes one hell of a cue....just ask the guys from Florida!

Yes indeed. He's 6 months now & 71 lbs.

The thread was to be used to get a short list of possible cues to purchase.

I may not know if the one I will be getting is the best, but there must be a scientific test out there to find out which cue is the most efficient at transferring energy from the cue to the CB

All of the suggested break cues are excellent. The only one I would add would be in the event you don't have $300 plus to spend. Go to www.billiardwarehouse.com and look at the BW Break Jump cue for $149 I think is what it is and it comes with 2 shafts. One for breaking and one for jumping. They have different tips. I have owned all of the ones mentioned with the exception of the Mace and use this BW exclusively. BW by the way is Greggs (the owner) design.

It breaks up the rack like a freight train
He uses a super pro hard tip.
And he is great to deal with

Breeder said he was one of the rarer big boned European bloodlines...should be about 120 lbs when adult. Thanks for the compliment...he is a looker...and smart. My new best friend. Now if I could teach him to sweep up saw dust.:D

Rick Howard. His cues play real good too. I would recommend his stuff.
 
The truth is, all of today's break cues are good. You cannot go wrong with any brands of break cues out there.

For $80 bucks a J&J or about a $100 or so a Fury . . . Yeah, I'd love to have one of those Gulyassey jobs, but geeeez . . . $300+ . . . good grief Charlie Brown . . .
