i would appreciate pictures on the thread, but i would like to encourage all of you not to critcize another cue on this thread. All of us have our favorites and I have never liked to see critical remarks in public. If you don't like please save remarks for PM to the owner

Having said that I am commissioning a special Brubnswick 360 tribute that I hope you all like more than anything you have ever seen.

dave

i am always glad to see your comments, but i get blasted so often I was just making sure that my thread was not becoming a place to compare cue makers.

i have seen the pictures of the Jerry R cues and they were very nice, they inspired me to do something really close and hopefully even better. When they are finished I would be thrilled to hear your comments on how well we have accomplished our objective,as I respect your cue knowledge

well thank you

just wondering who is making these cues? if you dont mine. there are makers that specialize in these like fanelli and webb

Dave

I am keeping that confidential with only those who join me,but I will tell you it is not Webb or Fanelli, not because they don't do good work. You are right about them, and of all the cue makers I am sure they are among the best for a project like this, but for reasons of my own I have kept this quiet, until the cues are finished.

Unless I made a mistake I am sure that these cues will be fabulous, but as you often say I could be wrong.

I have a number of cue I have put away over the years by many makers but here is one of my all time favorites. Yes the cue was made by Adam, but I really don't because simply said there is a shit load of work in this cue, and I doubt many would attempt to build something similar today.

please post more pictures of the older cues, different Brunswick models and pictures of the entire cues, where can pictures be obtained of these cues

And the marquetry cues, could someone please send me pictures of these cues.I saw them in the Billiard Encyclopedia which I no longer own.If someone would send them to me I would appreciate it,I have wanted a cue like that from the time I first saw it and now, I am making plans to encourage cuemakers to go in that direction by commissioning Tribute cues featuring the main designs

PM me if you have any ideas or helpful pics

thanks again

Dean

Good Idea.

please post all of your brunswick 360,and fancy paradise and palmer.lets keep the memory of the classic cues alive

not only here but by these fancy, fancy Tribute cues.

Here is a QUESTION FOR YOU AZ members, which do you likebetter a tribute that is 100% faithful to its historical counterpart,or a tribute that starts with the original and goes further with inventive additions

This was a tribute Bushka made for me by Thoroughbred Cues. The master stroke was the use of a Davis blank. Tony Clifton not only made the cue, he made the fancy matching case too. Its a recreation of Fatboys Bushka.

Pity it was stolen before I got it in my hands:( Breaks my heart just thinking about it.

Now thats a nice cue and case combination. I just sent you something that you will really love

Thanks for the pictures,I can tell you like the classics.Do you still have the Rambow I sold you

Dean

This is great ,Bogey

this project cue i am doing is going to be something like that ,but with more designs above the points, and above the joint

If it turns out anywhere nearly as nice as yours, which I hope it does, then I will not only be pleased, but so will fatboy and
another collector

Can you believe people love these cues so much, they are calling me to get one without knowing the cuemaker, the price or any thing but the fact that the old 360 design is beautiful

As of now,I agree that you have the nicest conversion cue ever, but I am shooting for the stars

Dean

I am hoping to spark an interest in the masterpieces of the past

Im taking the 3rd cue, i have been searching for a Brunswick 360 cue for some time now. Thanks Dean for coordinating this effort!

Now thats a good looking cue,I really appreciate this picture of something far from ordinary

AND a special thanks to Tarqiet for jumping in with FATBOY and myself, if someone else wants in we are thinking of doing 5 instead of 3,but absolutely no more

We are ready to start the project on the old beautiful Brunswick 360,a project that many never expected to see, these will offer you the opportunity to have inlays to enhance .

Meanwhile send more pictures

Dean

Here's a picture of the marquetry cue from 1830 I found for Rick Goulden (fifth from the top) along with some of his old timers, which include a beautiful old Brunswick 360...

Steve

Magnificent collection. I think Brunswick 360 one of the best cues in cuemaking history:thumbup2:.

Top cue with pictures on the handle is beautiful too. Is it possible its larger pictures?

But the third from below is especially interesting to me . It very reminds modern cues for Russian billiards. Who, where, when? Maybe B. Finck:confused: Please more in detail. And pictures, if possible. An author's sign if it is, etc. Thanks.
