I have not. Sounds a bit fishy. Is the solicitor reputable? Could it be a conversation forgotten? Like "if you come across let me know" kinda things?

I got one last week about a case for sale.....not gonna mention any names, but it was a very reputable member.
I also got one a couple of weeks ago from someone trying to sell me instructional DVD's.
I never sent either of these people messages first inquiring about anything they had for sale.

I have received them in the past, but it was a while ago now. Usually it was a member who knew I liked a particular style of cue, and wanted to offer before posting publicly. They were respectful, and as a result, I had no issue with it. But I certainly would not wish to be inundated with unsolicited offers via PM.

I have got unsolicited PM's from people because they have something they know I might be interested in.

Let's be clear about who it wasn't - wasn't me I don't send pms offering items for sale unless I know FOR sure the other side wants a head-up on something I have and even then it's not likely.
I have showed no interest in purchasing any mezz products let alone break cues recently or at any time that I can recall...
I have gotten two or three offers about people seeing that I was interested in something and they had something similar for less but thats solicated I asked pretty much to be notified by posting my interest. However, as far as spending 425$ on a break cue that Im not remotely interested in... not going to happen. I am curious as to where it came from though.

Hell if you offered to make a case for me Id be honored more than insulted your work is quite impressive though I dont know what to do with it. I sure as hell would not be taking it to the places I shoot I would need a seperate case to put one of your cases in so nothing would happen to it. LOL
But in all seriousness, between the 15-20 threads of cues that are being bumped every two days by the same guy and break cues randomly being offered at a marked up price to a miscellaneous assortment of people maybe there could be some form of a solution.
I think I also received a request to purchase that Mezz.. mine came via email though.. the person had my address from a previous question I asked about a cue. He has since included me in (2) emails asking if I was interested in something he is selling....
John if you sent me a pm on a case I probably would have bought it. The person I was referring to was NOT John. I will be placing an order soon though.
