Points For the WPBA Open?

Anyone know if this tournament counts for points for the rankings? If not then the last 22 players in the rankings of 64 players need to re qualifie next year? Thank you. Johnnyt

I think it does, and if I am not mistaken the points are actually more worth also.

Thank you Roy. Brackets should be up aroung 9 pm est tonight 11/11/ 09.

Hey Johnny,
Yes the Tour Championships of course counts towards points for this season and Roy's correct in that the points are worth 1.5x.

The Top 48 ranked players after this event have earned their Exemption into 2010 including Michell Monk, Tamara Rademakers (from Holland), Denise Belanger (from Canada) and many more.

Once I've had my rankings listing verified (always do by an independant person) I will post them on our website.

If the points are worth 1.5x for this event then my calculations show the top 3 players and point totals to be:

1st. GYK 26,500
2nd. Jasmin 26,000
3rd. Pan 25,875

Can't get much closer that.

Pretty crazy that a player who has won 3 of 6 events (Jasmin) isn't ranked nr 1, isn't?

Not really Roy Check out the points between the two players:

As you can see below - Jasmin had mediocre showings at the San Diego Classic (the 1st set of numbers) the US Open (the 3rd set) and the Colorado Classic (the 4th set) Ga Young's numbers were just a little bit better.
