Points made completely out of veneers

I did some quick searching but didn't find anything on this so I thought I'd throw this out there.

I'm considering having a new cue made and would like to explore the idea of the points being made completely out of veneers.

Has anyone seen anything like this before and if so, could you please point me in the right direction so I can see what this might look like?

Never saw one.

I have a four point cue with a stack of 9 veneers. It's a Viking. The inner points get pretty small with such a big stack of veneers. I only have it because it is unusual.

All veneers? Wild idea. Not sure how that would look. I guess it would take some careful work to keep all those veneers tidy.

Sounds like the effect one would get in a carnival mirror house, with mirrors that appear to go to infinity.

Sounds like a cool idea.

Guessing that there will actually be a point that exists, for the veneers to be glued onto, but they will just stack so many veneers onto it that the forearm would end before the tip of the actual point starts.

I had a hard enough time picking 3-4 veneers for the cue I have in the works... no idea what I'd do with this!

Sounds possible, but very unlikely. For one thing, the inside section of the point, or veneers, would probably have to be black to avoid the appearance of too many lines? Unless that is the look you would want? And how would you do the bottom veneers, closest to the wrap? Somehow, one tiny point veneer section? Sounds interesting, but I don't know...

All the best,
WW

why not just glue them together flat starting with a dark color in the middle and flaming/fading out to the outside each side repeated on the other side of the center veneer.....turn it vertical and cut the point out. :groucho:

seems (no pun intended) interesting

Here is an old McDaniel cue that is almost all veneer points. Not exactly what your looking to do but maybe it will help
