so i'm curious on how poison is sponsoring this team when none of the players on this team use any poison products. as far as i know:

gail - p2
borana - lambros
michele - p2
emily - predator sneaky
olga - predator
allison - jacoby

i see them all wearing poison patches in the web episodes but not one of them shoots with a poison cue. (that must say something about the product that players they sponsor won't even use the stuff :))

let me guess - eveyone's using the break cue right?

Predator owns Poison so maybe that counts?

I really have no clue, I'm just saying that might be a possibility.

Or they could be using the break cue. I like the Poison break cue. I've never actually tried one, but I like the wrap on it.

but why not wear predator patches then?

yeah. the break cue. that's a nice way of saying the regular cue sucks. LOL

you must have already read the Poison contract which stipulates you must play with a Poison cue, huh?

okay. i guess a cue company is willing to sponsor a team even when the team doesn't use it's product. got it.

speaks volumes for the poison cues.

The only sponsor i have is the bus line DC2NY :D

Still waiting for my collared tee to wear in tournaments

I am unsure of what your deal is, your from NY yet you bash your people. The ladies if they are sponsored by Poison might be using the break cue because it breaks great, I actually played with a Poison playing cue for a bit and reviewed it, it played well. I see many pros sponsored by Predator who are just using the break cue as they might be using a custom cue to play with like my friend Scott Frost. I am unsure of what kind of cues the ladies play with but its good to hear a company helping them out, they probably all play with a different brand of playing cue.

Name dropping like it's going outta style!

LOL. Just giving you some shit. I'm just as guilty of it when it comes to my friend Larry Nevel. :p

Haha, its okay to have a man crush bud as long as your clothes are on and your around them with at least one other person. :o

Not to get off topic, but is there some rule that says everyone from NY needs to stick together?

I mean, my experience is that within every area, it's divided into different cultures. Almost like high school.
The gamblers, the non gamblers, the popular, the unpopular, the elitist snobs, the down to earth people, etc etc
And then there is rivalry everywhere you go.

I mean, NY might be a tight knit community when you look at it from the perspective of the whole country, but I'm sure internally, it has it's own divisions that are very real to their players, EVEN IF they don't voice it in public.

As for Poison. Who knows.
Maybe it's a similar deal to the whole "wear the predator patch for free, get paid if you have it on while winning on tv" type of deal.

It's not costing me a dime, so i'm not sweating it.

I must say your prob. right on the N.Yers stick together if for only the fact that many peeps think N.Y State means N.Y City which is where most folks think you must be from if you say "I'm from N.Y." Just today my wife was at work and had a "Yankee" Joke told to her when the dude heard I was from New York State. Damn Redneck. (Tongue in cheek statement:wink:)Love to ALL. Lets all get together and miss a few balls

At least the ladies on the KOD team play in open and womens regional tournaments along with WPBA qualifiers. Last yr Shanelle was sporting a Poison patch. I would rather see the patch on the KOD ladies that actually compete than on CW's cleavage bearing non-player.

Cleavage. :thumbup::thumbup:

Don't get me wrong, cleavage is a beautiful thing to behold. That being said, I would prefer to see the few sponsorship dollars that are available in the pool world go to people who actually play competitive pool.

To clarify things, Poison is not a sponsor of the Kiss of Death team, they are a sponsor of NYC Grind's "Kiss of Death" web series.

Wouldn't it be best if we all simply celebrated it every time any sponsor anywhere does anything to support our game and/or its players rather than bemoaning the unworthiness of some of the beneficiaries of that sponsorship?

The "Kiss of Death" team consists of ladies who play well, conduct and present themselves tastefully and with professionalism, and represent our sport well. If Poison wishes to spend some of its promotional dollars to support the coverage of their progress as a team, I salute Poison and thank them for supporting our game.

Like many others, I hope all the deserving players earn sponsorship dollars, but my good wishes for those players do not extend so far as to bemoan the good fortune of those who have managed to do so already.
