I am not sure if those sites let you play if you are from America. I don't know for sure though. I think I tried a while back right after that law passed and wasn't allowed to deposit money. By the way what you said is really funny - made me laugh out loud. I have talked to myself about some bad beats but the good far outweighs the bad.

I cashed out some money a while back ($1,000) and it took almost three weeks to get the check, when it used to be instantaneous, direct into my checking account.
Do NOT put any serious money into a poker site now. I keep around $1,000 max. You just don't know what the future will bring. People who had money in Neteller have basically lost it. It has been tied up since January, with no clear indication of when you will get it back. People I know have thousands in there.
The mighty Party Poker burned me for over $2,500. I have yet to get my money back from them, after they shut down in the USA. And the prospects don't look too good.

My experience with PokerStars is if you cash in $1,000 or more, they send you a check. Three or four months ago, the checks over $1,000 were FedEx'd to the recipient, and it only took 2 or 3 days. The checks were written from a bank in another country, and I can't remember which one, maybe an Island bank.
About 2 month ago, Poker Stars sent checks over $1,000 from a check written on an Atlanta, Georgia bank, and it took almost 2 weeks to receive it.
Last month, the checks over $1,000 from Poker Stars were written on a bank in Califoria, and it came in 3 days.
However, the inconsistensies and the moving of monies is something to take notice of.
FullTilt is another poker site that is popular. There are some "pro" poker players who play there, too. So far, they pay as well.

Two checks ago from PS is the one we got from Atlanta, too, and it did take 2 weeks.

Me too, Jay. I haven't put any money IN since they passed that online poker law. i've been playing with my winnings and now I'm down to about $200 on both Stars & Ultimate Bet. I used Neteller.
The latest news on Neteller:
Neteller has announced that it has agreed with the US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York (USAO) on plans to refund its US customers.
Neteller, whose two founders Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre are still on bail, said it was continuing to cooperate with the USAO and told the authorities that it would try to resolve the investigation no later than 13 July 2007.
Neteller said it had signed a Distribution Plan with Navigant Consulting on 21 March to work out a plan to refund US customers and that it had now been agreed upon. The company will work with Navigant and the USAO to implement the plan once a date has been finalised.
As part of the plan, the company said US customers would be able to access their accounts online for a certain time and make a request for their funds. No interest on account balances will be paid and customers will not be charged processing fees.
US customers will receive the entire balance of funds in their account; no requests for partial payments will be processed and US customers will not be able to use their accounts for any transaction other than to request the funds.
Neteller said close to US$60m "had been seized by the USAO or otherwise restricted by third parties” on 8 February. Ron Martin, chief executive of Neteller, said: "The agreement on the Distribution Plan represents a milestone in our cooperation with the US authorities.
While we are disappointed not to have been able to return funds to our US customers at this point, we believe that the steps we have made in our discussions are significant and we hope to be able to announce further progress with the USAO by 13 July 2007."

I am playing right now on Full Tilt....good tourney's, lots of fun. Not so easy to do the money thing though. I assume its that way with all the US sites.

Thrasher.... I have had many many problems depositing money. I am using MyWeb ATM right now and it sucks.....takes forever for them to process the deposit.

I deposit straight from my Visa checking account and it clears literally instantly, I go to deposit funds... Visa, then enter my card number and type in the deposit amount and it says "clearing deposit please wait" and then within 30 seconds it clears and I have my deposit on my Full Tilt account and shows up on my online banking statement. If you have a checking account with Visa or Mastercard I would suggest this straight forward way of doing it.
