I think the poker craze will die out. Right now people are watching to try and learn the game. Everyone sees quick money to be made. Watching poker on TV gives the impression that anyone can win and win big which is true to some extent. The problem with pool is that it requires skill and gambling on pool is against the law. The only way to win money is to enter a tournament. Inorder to win money in a pool tournament a player needs training and practice. Plus there is a lot of time waiting for your chance to play. People are not patient. They want quick results and quick money. That is why they play slot machines. No skill is involved. After the amatuers get continually beat at the tables by the "pros" in poker rooms I think that the fad will pass.
