Police seize pool cues at a gambling match in the Philippines

No, they did not .
THE COPS DID THEIR JOBS.
If they wanted to fleece them , all they would need is send a collector .
Perfect Joey, but most Filipinos dont see it like that, they think their heroes are being picked on. I am a long time expat living in the Philippines, I love the country but a lot of times the Filipino people just accept "wrong/illegal" doings by the elite as they can only see the good of their heroes. These cops did their job, Efren looked like WTF i dont care one bit about this, zero remorse.

They were breaking the law and got busted, bottom line.

Having spent my own time there, and given some of the, let’s say questionable behavior, that takes place in the Philippines, it seems a bit of an overstretch. Just sayin’...

And for what it’s worth, I love the country and the wonderful people! It’s sad that I need to make my own poor excuse for lumpia!

See my post #59.
My wife has family in both Manila and Bulacan. Bulacan is where Marcos moved squatters to in the 1970's to get them out of Manila. The problem is there were no jobs in Bulacan so they had to take public transportation to Manila for work. Public transportation costs money.

Aha one of them conspiracy guys .........bet ya don't think we went to the moon either do ya? They filmed it at Janis Joplins abandoned house in Ventura County. The earths flat and got a hole in the middle like a big tim hortons donut and there are little spindly people with big brains that are us, in the future, down in the middle of the flat donut.
Muahahahahaha, carrrrrayzzzzzyyyy man!
You don't know they all are bought and paid for by big tech, pharma, military industrial and the billionaire class?

Wake up buttercup. The picture of democracy you were taught is an illusion.

It's one party and neither one gives a rats ass about the general public.

Are you one of them "Woked Up" people? They scare me , with their big brains and stuff , always thinkin.
It's almost like they are mine readers!

Tell Efren and Bustamante to come back to Jimmy's (Wetch). No scams going on there just don't put your cue case on the table. Table is for food and drink only.

My wife read the comments in Tagalog. She said the police returned the pool cues and didn't arrest anybody.
One thing for sure, there was money exchanged hands with the cops before they let them go and cues returned.. Philippine cops always get paid for their efforts..

I can't speak to that. All I know is what my wife said she read in Tagalog. They gave the cues back and didn't arrest anybody.

From traffic enforcers to police, if you get pulled over, busted or arrested regardless if you are a foreigner or a local; unless you know someone it is guaranteed you will pay a fine and it won't be before a judge.. That video was obviously a shakedown because they know Efren bets high and if he was stuck no telling why the bust took place..

I got caught jaywalking across a street where I saw other (Filipino) people also walking across. The traffic enforcer (a good description) whistled and yelled for me to stop, so I did, on the island in the middle of the street. He rushed over to me (another rich foreigner!) and was quickly joined by three or four other enforcers. They asked for my ID, so I showed them my passport, which they promptly grabbed away from me. I was given a brief lecture on where I should have crossed the street (about a block away) and told me I would be fined before I could get my passport back (only your most valuable possession when traveling overseas). They debated among themselves and decided my fine was 500P (about $10). I tried to negotiate a lower price to no avail and finally had to pay them 500P to get my passport back. The high cost of taking a walk in Manila!

Are you talking about Jimmy's Pro Billiards in Columbia Heights, MN? (Minneapolis to out of towners.) More info please.
