...Senior Tom, your title/question is asked like 'are you for reproduction rights?', how is it possible anyone wouldn't be?
You sherrrly can't be saying all of the fond memories of NPR be vaporized?

Two of my favorite search engines in here are "Trending" and "New Posts". I don't know how you can work those two searches where you won't get political BS.
A woman called the cops….she said there was a neighbor who was dressed indecently. A cop came to investigate. She took him to the balcony and said the man was three balconies away. The cop said “I don‘t see anyone.” She said , “If you stand on the railing, hang on to the umbrella, and lean out as far as you can, you’ll spot him without a shirt.”

Should we have a minimum standards exam that one must pass before being allowed to post? Basic IQ? Courtesy? Grammar? . . .
Should remedial instruction be offered?
Should everyone be allowed to post but 3 strikes you're out?

Okay. Okay. Just kidding. Just kidding. Kinda.

I realize some folks just don't know how/weren't taught better, and these misfortunates are okay by me, but then . . .

Tip of the Day (I just figured this out): To copy to clipboard (Ctrl. + C) when "Writ[ing]
your reply", first use "Preview" function.

I'm ok with it as long as it's in NPR. Pool players talk politics sometimes at the pool room. I close my ears and keep making 9's when they do. ha ha.

One thing specifically I don't like on AZB, is when you hit the "new posts" button, it shows all the political garbage threads. I had to stop using that button about 2 years ago and only press the main forum button now, for that reason. I used to like that button a lot because it would show new stuff in the cuemaker section, the action room section, etc. Those other sections interest me occasionally, but never the political threads. Now I rarely go into those sections and probably miss a lot of pool related content.
I had Mike configure my account so NPR doesn't exist. You can't even detect it's here if you want to. Not in the index and if I click on a link to it I don't have permission to view it. Try it you may like it. I also can't see the action room.

Every single member here can have this if they just ask. You will never see them again.

It was for my own good and I'm happy about it. Last thing I want to do is argue politics with good pool people. There are forums specifically designed for that.

If I want rancor among pool players I go to the aiming forum.

Here's a better way to see what you want: "watch" the forums you want to see. Make your effective home page the "watched" forums list. I never see anything from NPR because I do not "watch" that forum.

I simply read thread titles.

Sometimes I click on the thread through simple curiosity, say to myself 'WOW, humans are incredibly uneducated in some places' and then click on something else.

First off, why is this in the main forum and what does it have to do with pool?

Second, if you're not smart enough to skip posts that are in the NPR section about politics...

Third, who the hell are you people to tell others what they can discuss in a section that you shouldn't even be in due to your delicate mental health?

It's so nice to see people wanting to censor others when it has nothing to do with you.

I can't believe that this is what's become of our country.

BTW, I don't give a shit if you like it or not

MURICA 🤣

No clue.....I'm not active on FB. But regardless.....you think that is happening on AZB? Relegating politics to one of multiple subforums is "openly abandoning the hobby to argue politics"?

Once again.....there has been a broad movement from traditional msg boards to social media. You would have to be blind to not recognize it.
Yes it does happen and gets taken down usually if it moderators and sometimes gets people banned. I know I just unfollowed a group that I believe was 80s nostalgia because for days some nut felt the need to post anti trump Meme’s non stop every day. I don’t care who you vote for but it has nothing to do with 80s nostalgia and me and many people left.

Billiards does have a general assembly but it is unclear what types of missions it can accomplish.

If it's primarily used to ban players then what mechanism can be used to determine bans for the future.

When new rules of enforcement are implemented it can be unclear if the application of the rule is worth keeping.

Is there an appeal mechanism in the billiard general assembly? Or an effort to map out the future or set standards?

If any federation can instantly propose and enforce a new ban or interpret any billiard related attendance or participation as ban worthy then its politics worth discussing in the interest of making easier for the future.

This is not a thread to discuss politics , but rather a thread to get people's opinion whether it should be allowed in a Billiards forum. Politics seems to infiltrate everything nowadays, should it be allowed in the AZ Billiards forums? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I think you should have discussed this in the NPR forum and its really bad form you doing it here.
